This code is a hardware device error code..so this could mean that your device driver hasn't been installed properly on your computer or your computer is not seeing the necessary drivers for your phone.
so this is how you resolve it ok: open device manager and

  1. To open Device Manager, click Start, click Search programs and files, and then type Device Manager. A list of available matching items appears above the search box; click Device Manager. Device Manager opens with your computer name at the top and a list of devices that are installed on your computer beneath your computer name.
  2. Locate the malfunctioning device in the list of devices, right-click the device, and then click Uninstall. When a warning message appears that you are uninstalling a device from your system, click OK. Device manager uninstalls the device.
  3. Right-click your computer name in Device Manager and click Scan for hardware changes. Device manager scans your system and automatically reinstall your device.
  4. Right-click the device and click Properties. On the General tab of the device Properties dialog box, in Device status, you should see the message This device is working properly.
If the steps above do not resolve the problems with the device, , use the taskbar icon to safely eject the device, then unplug the device from the computer. If the device includes a drivers disk, ensure that you have it handy to install the device drivers; otherwise, Windows should automatically locate the correct drivers and install them.
If you do not have a driver disk and Windows cannot automatically detect the drivers, it means that your hardware manufacturer has not uploaded the drivers for your device to Windows Update. If this is the case, you must go to your device manufacturer web site to download or request the most recent drivers for your device.

Remove Totally and Re-Install your Nokia PC Suite and Drivers first, then follow the On-Screen instructions to connect your Phone to your PC, at the same time, also try to use a different USB prot this time around.
Hope it helps.

General system error means it's software is corrupted, just reprogram it. It cannot detect by pc because it have no identity at, just reprogram it and it will work fine, maybe it's infected with the virus while you're synchronizing with your pc.

How To Fix Error Code 43 Windows has stopped this device because it has...

If Windows Device Manager is giving a code 43, this means the hardware is reporting something wrong when trying to connect. I'd do the following (and also check the attatched link for reference ;-) )

  • Unplugging the headset, restarting the computer, then plugging the headset back in.
  • Make sure the USB connector on your headset (and the USB port you're putting it in) is undamaged, and not dirty.
  • Try connecting the headset to another USB port, and another computer to see if you're able to reproduce the issue there (if not- it may just be the USB port(s) on your computer that you're plugging the headset into that's failing.
If all else fails, it may be time to purchase a new headset ;-)

I cannot cannect my 6230i nokia to my computer when connected your device is reported windows error 43

Error Code 43 is a Device Manager error that means the following:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
When you get this error with USB devices it's because one of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner. It will be of issue of the loaded corrupted drivers. You should reinstall the operating system or reinstall the drivers that doesnt have virus or file damages.

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). the usb is tagged as unknown device

This can happen if the device is lacking in power. Try a different USB cable. Look for a cable with ferrite cores, (cylindrical shaped objects near the ends of the cable) that is as short as you can use.

If the issue persists among multiple computers and USB ports with different cables, the Device has likely had a hardware failure. In some cases the error can be rest from within the device if it is powered by batteries. Disconnect them and wait 1 minute. Re-connect them and try again.
