hi if your tv is KLV-40V300A with 6x blink then the inverter board is defective replace the inverter board & tv will become ok

you need to change the picture board/ the display board

That would be your Power Supply. Make sure to check your capacitors, the bravia's of this series is known to have bad capacitors by the recitifiers. Good luck!

Check audio voltage supply from power supply board, if OK, replace GP Board (main board)
and if audio volts are not available, check/ replace power supply board.

The U series has two boards and it could be either the system/video board or the power supply board. It will take a tech to tell you which is bad

re: sony flat panel lcd tv mod. # klv s 40a10.
No power. When power button is pressed, nothing happens.
The stand-by at the power supply ( cn6201) measures to be 3.47 v. instead of 5 v. However, when I unplug cn6201 (5 pin connector) I can read 5v. at the power supply.
Any suggestions?

Just bought the KLV-40U400M Sony Bravia Monitor. Did you fix the turn on turn off problem? How much did it cost, labor/parts?

I'm thinking I better get the extended warranty although I wonder if the board will continue to go bad year after year.

I was told the tv could be replaced but w/someone else's refurbished tv. I was very unhappy w/that response.

So how's your tv today?
