this error 0001002D means Cleaning Unit end of life

The only fix for this problem is you have to call Epson and state them that you are facing this problem. They will provide you the codes to unlock this error. Its a universal solution that only Epson can provide you these unlock codes and you cant find in any websites.So contact them and get your problem fixed soon.

Its more of a fiddly job than a difficult one. Remove both end covers and drop down the tray which has the mainboard on. Loosen the tension on the carriage belt, remembering to check the belt tension on the scale before doing so, then remove the belt from the pinion of the motor. Unplug the connector for the motor from the mainboard, then undo the cable from all the various clips and pieces of tape up towards the motor. Then remove the motor and do it all again in reverse. Once its installed you will need to reset the counter to clear the error message.

This happens when you let the "maintenance req. 0040" go for to long. The machine turns itself of to prevent damage.

Solution: Call epson and they will give you the reset code. Cannot find these codes online so if you do call please post instructions

The same has happened to me I replaced one of the inks and got the error message 0010014.
