Check the condenser coil to make sure it is cleaned out, also make sure the condenser fan is no dropping out. Next check to make sure the water fill valve is not seeping water past into the sump tray if so than it will not freeze, Water will get cold but not cold enough to freeze check water temp in sump tray with a thermometer to make sure it is getting down to 32 deg.

Manitowok gd0602a ice machine won't make ice... compressor starts, water pump starts but evaporator placate does not get cold ... condenser fan does not ever run

If your Manitowoc GD0602A ice machine is not producing ice and the compressor and water pump are starting, but the evaporator plate is not getting cold and the condenser fan is not running, it is possible that there may be a problem with the refrigeration system of the machine. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the refrigerant levels in the machine. If the levels are low, it may indicate a leak in the system.
  2. Check the evaporator and condenser coils for any visible signs of damage or blockages. Make sure that the coils are clean and unobstructed.
  3. Check the compressor and condenser fan motor for any signs of damage or malfunction.
  4. If the issue persists, it is possible that there may be a problem with the control board or another internal component of the machine. In this case, it will likely be necessary to have a qualified technician inspect the machine to diagnose the problem and recommend the necessary repairs.
I hope this information is helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions or if there is anything else I can assist with.

Every time we start ice machine it runs for a while and gives water error. Water pump working plenty of water and have replaced float sensor already

If the ice machine runs for a while and then gives a water error despite the water pump working and there being plenty of water, it's possible that there's an issue with the water level sensor or control board. It may be necessary to have a professional technician diagnose and repair the machine.

Ge refrigerator is not cold enough and ice is not working

What is the model number?
The ice maker will only run if the freezer is at the correct temperature.
Do you see any ice buildup on the back wall of the freezer or behind it?

Melting ice

The bin has most likely failed. Apparently the bin insulation on the DCE33 eventually gets saturated with water and loses it's insulation ability. Consequently the ice melts prematurely. Condensation starts to build up inside the bin because it's not cold enough adding to the problem as the water drips on the new ice inside the bin.

Mine is 5-yrs old and I was told that it's all the life I'll get out of it.

If everything else is workng properly, harvest time, cube size, cold water spray, then a new bin is the unfortunate solution.

Machine runs and mixes. Compressor seems to run but mix will not thicken. Seems like mix is not getting cold enough. A water cooled unit.. Tried to bypass water intake switch so water was always...

if its a water cooled unit when the compressor is running water should be running thru the valve, if it isn't be sure you have the water correctly hooked up and its cold water, if it is and still no water you have a bad valve

Seems to make ice but will not keep it cold therefore it melts. It does this about 3 or 4 times a year but after staying off it will start working again

The only thing that keeps the ice cold is the ice itself. If the icemaker isn't making ice fast enough then the ice will melt before more ice drops to keep it cold. In other words the motor ice the slower the ice melts. Now if the door gasket isn't sealing properly then the ice could melt to fast. Also the ice is going to melt some and when it does the water has got to drain out the bottom. If the water doesn't drain the ice will be sitting in water and will speed up the melting process dramatically. I hope this helps!
