Oven taking a long timt to heat to temperature

Hello, My oven is taking a long time to heat to temperature. To get the temperature to 350 could take over 40 minutes. The oven is less than 2 years old and I have never used the convection part of the oven. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Gas oven doesn't get hot enough

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire oven will not heat to temperature if you set it to 350 degrees. I see that you have to set it to 450 degrees for it to heat up, and then turn it back down to the desired temperature. Please try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power, set the clock and try setting the temperature to 350 degrees. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Oven is taking to long to heat

look for the temperature sensor inside the oven cavity in the upper left or top center of the upper oven cavity, its will be a silver or copper colored rod about 1/4" by 2" to 6" long this rod senses the oven temp and cycles the heat to the oven

Is it dangerest when your oven beeps f2

Typically an oven beeps when the interior temperature macthes the temperature where you set the dial. This is an audible signal to that fact and particularly helpful when you need to pre-heat the oven. For example it you want to cook something at 350 degrees, you set the dial at 350. When your oven reaches that temperature it beeps to let you know. Some cooking directions tell you to preheat your oven. In that case, when you set the dial to 350 and wait for the beep...you know you are safe to start your cooking process because the oven is now pre-heated to the temperature you set. If your recipe requires a pre-heated oven, and you don't wait for the beep, your taking a guess at what temperature you're cooking your food. Additionally, if you want to know what the internal temperature of oven is and your oven is heated...you simply turn you dial setting and listen for the beep. Again, if you set your oven at 350 and you want to know how hot your oven is... slowly turn the dial setting. If the oven beeps at 275 then that's how hot your oven has gotten. To let it finish heating to 350 just reset the dial and wait for the beep.

Bottom element is not heating to temp an shuts off during heat up - without error code showing in the display. IE. - Press Bake, 350 degrees defaults on screen; Press Start. YOu hear the Click as it...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My Kenmore Elite oven will take over an hour to preheat to 350 degrees and never does get done preheating.

There's a few things that can cause this.

1. Check to see if the both that Bake and Broil elements (burners) are heating up. Check the Broil element in Broil mode.

- during pre-heat the Broil element gets cycled on and off for short time durations to speed up the heating. If the Bake element is not working, then the oven will heat, but very slowly and never reach high temperature.

2. If the elements are both working, then it's possible that you have a bad temperature sensor.

- this is a temperature dependent resistance device that should measure 1080 ohms at 70 deg F (room temp).

3. If #1 and #2 are ok, then the problem is with your oven clock/control unit. We rebuild these at fixyourboard.com.

What does blinking beeping F2 mean?

Hello there"
The F 2 error that you are getting is telling you that the temperature sensor is going bad and needs to be replaced the temperature sensor is what senses the ovens temperature say you have it set for 350 when it is at 350 the sensor tells the oven to stop heating up and when it gets to a certain temp below that value it will make the oven heat up again

Oven heats to 200 and indicator dings

Try to set it at 500 degrees and see if it goes off at 350. If it does, then it probably needs calibrating. You can calibrate it by taking the knob off and finding a set screw in the stem where the knob sits. If this is not the problem, you may have to replace the thermostat. By the way, check to see if your temperature probe is not touching the wall of the oven. It will give it a false reading. Let me know if any of these things work and we will go from there.

Maytag gas oven cycles every 20 seconds

yes it is normal . but i know your not the first to think its not , todays ovens are so tight , it only takes 10 seconds of heat to keep them at proper temp . it used to be that ovens where kept at a 3 degree sweep that is set at 350 turn on and up to 353 then off ,cool down to 350 and back on . this was a longer time off and a longer time on topday we keep to 1 degree ! 350 on to 351 off to 350 on and so on ....... so short berst of heat make for a more even oven ........ but i know i hate it too ! good luck
