First check on the device and printer under control panel if the status of your printer is offline or ready. If it is offline check your usb cable if properly connected and if ready state then if you send print job set to offline try to reinstall the driver. hopefully it will help you.
The printer says that it is connected correctly to the router because the router is aware of it and has assigned to it an IP address on the network.
The computer on the other hand does not know that there is a printer. Not finding one (or not knowing where to look for it) the computer reports that the printer is offline.
You must install the printer drivers on the computer.
I
will suggest you try reset the printer, follow the instruction below
to reset your printer, if the problem still persist, replace the cable
that connects the printer to the power outlet. If that did not still fix
the problem, 1. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold # and 6 keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.
5. Follow on printer screen instructions.
I had the same problem - my printer showed that wireless LAN was enabled & my mac showed the printer but said it was offline. I went to preferences, print & fax, hit the + key to add a printer, added the canon printer again, set that printer as my default, did a print command from Word & that created a queue in the new default printer ... and it printed. Deleted the first Canon printer that was "offline." Oh, and I'm not sure if it made a difference, but before what I just described, I checked for software updates after the printer CD install process & uploaded one update.
Have you installed the necessary software already? The driver is needed for the connection between the computer and the printer. You might want to also check the physical connections like the USB cable or other cables which connects the device and the computer.
I would suggest resetting the printer options to Default first. If that doesn't do it then reinstalll the complete printer software and be sure to deleted all the old software. To delete files completely download <AppCleaner> it's free and is fantastic. Your last resort is to then call Epson Tech Support.
