If this doesn't work, go to control panel>hardware&sound>manage audio devices>recording, and see if your headset microphone is listed in there. Choose as default device if it is.
Fixed it: the microphone on the headphone was switched off - it's a bit of a design weakness in the Logitech headset: it's easy to unintentionally turn the microphone off while putting the headset on. The lower half of the right headphone's central medallion is a button - indicated by a crossed out microphone icon.
in skype go to tools>options>audio setting make sue the microphone is logitech and the green bars should start moving as you talk. if no logitech appears or the mic is not producing sound. call logitech for warranty info. if the mic is producing sound below is "make a free skype test call" to see if the program is transmitting.
Hey.. Just got solution for this, all you need to do is go to Preferences (Ctrl+Shift+P) and then go to Connection and down below you would find Internet Connection, set it to HIGH-SPEED (T1-LAN) and click on Apply and then Ok. All you have to do now is to EXIT (dont just close it but Exit out of the Messenger) and then launch the Messenger again. You should have the Call setup options under Calling and Devices in Preferences. (Preferences are under the Messenger menu)---Dev
go to tools>options>audio settings change the microphone to logitech. if the mic is already logitech. and no green bars are appearing contact logitech mic may be dead.
try on another pc in sound recorder if working there then the headset is not the problem. try uninstalling the sound card and rebooting the pc. may correct the issue.
