Drill down the menu of the camera to find the FORMAT option.
This will delete everything and clean up the drive for it's next recording job.
Warning: Format will delete everything, so be sure.

I has success with asoftech data recovery program, you can download the program from

Please be noted that your camcorder memory should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.

I deleted video from my sony sr47 handycam, it now shows a broken icon where the video was, can I recover these?

I have had success with this file recovery program called asoftech data recovery... Download the data recovery program

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the file recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Next" and wait for it to do it's magic.

I need to recover a video i deleted less than a month ago.

You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, phone or camera memory card or USB Memory stick, it just depends on what's happened since the files were deleted.
When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted files is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it becomes too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.
If the deleted files are on a memory card or USB memory stick, just don't save any new files to it.

One of the best ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some file recovery software. Recommended asoftech data recovery as it saved my life many times. download from

Need to recover deleted videos from HDD

When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead.

So most of the time, you are able to get back deleted files from computer. You may try a free data recovery software to view deleted files so that you know whether the deleted files are recoverable.

One I used to use is asoftech data recovery program which you can download from site below

Accidentally deleted videos, they would not play on camcorder, played on PC, any way to recover them?

When files are deleted they still remain on camcorder hard drive and can be recovered, unless they have been overwritten by fresh data.

The only thing to do so run a data recovery program to see what can be recovered. The only program I have tested is asoftech data recovery software and it had done the job well. download the data recovery from http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

Select the drive where your files were deleted and then do a deep scan. It will find your deleted files.

How to delete video files from iriver e100 mp3

The video files should be in the video folder instead of the music folder - use Windows Explorer to be sure. If they are not showing up, switch the device's mode to MTP mode and see if the video files show up as available for deletion.

Deleting Videos

WMP doesn't recognize the players video file system, or your computer does not have the right codecs for WMP to recognize that file type

Delete from windows explorer instead - but be careful to only delete the videos, and not the system files/folders that control video for this player
