I have the Safety First Infant Car Seat in Windham, and I cannot for the life of me know how to attach the s clips on back of the seat. My daughter had an accident this morning, and I had to take the seat apart to wash it. Even the instruction manual is not clear about the s clips. I get everything else though.

    Thanks.

Would assume you're talking like a booster seat with the back just no 5pt harness. You just buckle them up like you do. If they have those arm rest looking things, the part where it buckels goes under that one arm rest and the shoulder strap should go resting over his shoulder like yours. Some of them have a loop up top for the shoulder strap to go through. Just make sure that the toddler does NOT put their arm over the shoulder part of the belt. If you get into an accident this could break his/her ribs.

I have repositioned the straps and fastened them to the anchor but I am left with a metal piece hanging from each strap, where should this go?

Need to remove the cover from a britax eclipse si..how

Press and hold down the harness release button. With your other hand below the chest pads, pull the shoulder straps forward as far as possible. With the Eclipse Si fully reclined, open the seat-belt guard at the back of the shell. Pull the yoke out from behind the seat and unhook both shoulder straps. Pull the cover from the top of the seat so that you can see the slots in the seat shell. Pull each shoulder strap and chest pad strap forward and towards the centre of the shell, easing the metal tab and straps through the slot. Then thread them through to the front of the cover. Unfasten the buckle and remove the comfort pad. Gently pull the cover off the seat, easing the shoulder straps, chest pads, harness buckle and adjuster strap through the slots in the cover.

I have a Safety 1st baby carseat, it's a 22-391-MLO. I need to know how to put the straps back in!

each end of the long strap should be threaded up through the slots on either side of the baby's bottom, and then through the diagonal slots even with baby's shoulders. There is a clasp on the back of the car seat that you can thread each end through and adjust to the proper length.

Car seat adjustment for britax eclipse

Tilt seat back and slacken straps fully. Follow each shoulder strap through back of seat and down towards lower back of seat. There you will find (maybe hiding under a plastic cover) a metal bracket that retains the straps. You can slide the straps out of this, pull out and thread back through at a higher point.

The actual tension adjust ment is usually a metal clip that you push or pull which is located in the centre/ front are of the seat, or front/centre, underneath where the child's feet hang.

A manual for britax freeeway wanted

Not really a solution, as I can't help with putting it back together, BUT the Freeway was retired in 2001. That means that any of them still out there are now well past the 6 year expiration date, and therefore, no longer safe to use. I know car seats are not cheap, but please destroy these out of date seats and put your little sweethearts in non-expired, safer seats.
Car seats expire not only because the technology changes, but also because after a few years, the plastic, like any other material, begins to degrade and weaken even if it looks fine. There's a great video here to help show this.
