Broadband red light is on;

Cables connection might loosen up. Check cables that runs from the wall jack going into your modem, make sure all cables are tightly plugged in. Also, check indicator light on your device. If DSL light is RED, OFF, flashing red, flashing green. there might be trouble with your Internet provider. DSL light indicator MUST be always on STEADY GREEN. If you see that the DSL light is not on STEADY GREEN status call your Internet service provider.

It's possible that the filter could be defective, and it's possible that the telephone line could be interfering with the dsl or signal. Once you have established a good connection, and you now have a green dsl light, you can update the username and password by launching into your modem with the following ip address: 192.168.1.254. Type this on the address bar of your internet explorer. Once you're inside the modem, click on Broadband Link and click Advanced Settings. Update the username and password that which could be you're email address with AT&T and Network password which is provided by your ISP as well. That should get you connected .

You need to check with your DSL provider. What the router is telling you is that it is not getting a connection with your internet provider. Contact you internet provider, they all have Techical support and they will help you solve the connection problem on their end. It may be in the DSL modem or there may be an outage in your area.

make sure the PC's have DHCP turned OFF, in services. make sure all are on same network, all have password, Use the connect to internet wizard to make initial connection.

Check for the user name and the password for the connectivity. Internet light red only means either the user name or the password is incorrect. Try entering the password and try again it should help.

If the red light is your DSL light it means you have a line fault or no internet connection. Contact your provider

If the red light is your broadband / internet light - it means you are not logged on properly. Chck your username and password are correct - especially after the reset!

You have an outside connection issue. If the broadband link is red you are not receiving the internet service correctly from your provider. Need to call your cable/dsl provider and let them perform an over the phone check to make sure all is correct.

If your router's internet light is red it means to say that there's no connection. You really have to call Tesco.
