Scroll Lock, Caps Lock, Num Lock.
DOes this happen when you first turn on the computer,or do you have desktop access until after the screensaver comes on?

My new laptop has somehow got a screenlock to which i need to put a password in to unlock, i didnt choose to do this but it says to use the last password used on the laptop, iv tried all i can think of still no joy.......

ou must first take off the top plate where the buttons are. Start from the right side and work your way over, the there shouild be 3 screws holding the keyboard down. Once the screws are out slide keyboard up and disconnected the connectors on the botton.

this may or may not be the solution but its some sort of indication of what is going on. Ok when you plug the ac adapter do u get a flashing light to indicate your batter is being charged? If you do then there is power going through the laptop to the battery, which is great. Now if you don't have the indicator flashing then it could be that the where the AC adapter plugs to the laptop could be now faulty. The other one could be that the AC adapter plug i.e. head that goes into the laptop some how internally has a severed connection.
