Inside of dryer is turning blue. How do I clean it? My clothes do not seem to be affected by this...my whites are staying white...but I can't figure out what to do about this.

The inside of my dryer is turning blue. It does not seem to be affecting any clothes...my whites are still white...but I don't know what specific clothes are causing this and I don't know how to clean it. I now turn blue jeans inside out when I wash and dry them in case they are the culprit. Any thoughts?

My best guess, is it is your blue jeans. fingernail polish remover..non acetone usually does the job. Stay in a well ventillated area when doing this. Good luck.

Hi mine is doing the same thing...and its not even 6 months old...also the back venting part is rusting already....my husband thinks the blue is the primer color under the white coating...so it may be a defect!!!

Mine is the same way..blue around the edges. It doesn't affect the drying of the clothes, but for the price we paid you'd think it would stay white ? :(

I have a front loader dryer and the inside is turning blue, causing my clothes to be tinted blue.

If you have washed some NEW blue denims, some of the dye will get on everything. Blue denims are often a pain, and if you wear them before washing them they will get that same blue dye all over you.
It didn't hurt your washer, just run a couple loads through and add a little bleach to the whites. Note that if you put bleach in with OTHER colors, they will fade.
The trick is, never wash ANYTHING with blue denims, especially when they're new.

Why does my washing comes out with stains on it.... they weren't there when it went into the wash...

yes sometimes ink pens can be washed when we are not aware it was in someones pocket. I use straight ammonia and a cloth to clean my washing machine drum a couple times a year because these things have happened to me before. The ammonia will cut the grime and pen stains out of the drum. Then take a squirt bottle and fill it with white vinegar and squirt all around inside the drum of the machine. Run a wash without any clothes with the hottest water to clean the drum and clear out the stains. Do this to the dryer also and clean out the filters. Take the dispensers out from the washing machine and clean those too and your cleaning is done for a while. Apparently the ink has been in the drum of your washing machine and putting the color into your clothes. You can bleach out the white clothes that turned blue. Use the stain remover for colored clothes. Hope this will help you.

Inside of dryer has turned blue from what i am thinking is my jeans. when i wasd whites they turn blue

Wow, where were the jeans made? I'd definately take them back. If any of your other clothes were ruined, I'd take them along. To avoid bad publicity, the store just might replace all for your silence.

I am converting a 3 prong dryer to a 4 prong plug. The wires inside the dryer are black/yellow, white and blue. The wires on the plug are white, black, red and green. I am assuming the green is the ground...

on plug white is neutral, black is power , red is power, green is ground. black/yellow and blue are power and white is always neutral ie. (white to white) black to black/yellow, blue to red. green to grounding screw on machine

Dryer turns white clothes gray.

Replace Burner.

I have the same problem, getting ready to try and tackle this. I've been told it is the burner that is the problem, a crack or cracks in the burner are letting the soot into the drum instead of venting to the outside.
