HP Officejet 4110 doesn't print

Bought new HP 4110, used it infrequently for a few weeks, then one day foolishly pulled out the sheet of paper from the FRONT, WHILE THE 4110 WAS PRINTING. Trying to use the 4110 now I invariably get the message (paraphrasing): Replace Cartridge

But that's surely an irrelevant message.

What concerns me is
1. What damage did I do to the printer with my "paper pullout"?
2.. Is the repair straightforward and at reasonable cost, or should I just
get a new inkjet printer?

I have some technical skills and could oerhaps do the job myself, with the help of a service manual.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You very well could have messed up a sensor in the printer.
These days, printers are considered "throw-away" and normally there are not any parts available to repair them.

You won't find a manual. Even printer repair shops cannot get parts.

But before you consider all lost, you could try to get a new cartridge. Otherwise, get a new printer.

Hp officejet 7000 won't print 6.5 x 10 paper size

Officejet 8620 printed about 400 for me in 16 months then stopped. A few weeks prior to the error msg. that the paper in the tray did not match my document settings another message said it did not recognize any paper in tray including letter size despite there being about 100 sheets. I c alled HP two different days, tried documents on a brand new computer, created a new document. Took two hours total and $20 to be told the printer did not support this paper size. I called them prior to purchase and told them my needs and was told it would accommodate the size. My local techie and I both think the sensors have gone bad in under 2 years as I had been able to print my cards with no issue about 400 times. I called Epson three different times and each tech support person says Epsons can accommodate this.

Paper will not feed; i have cleaned all the rollers

does it try to pull the paper? if doesn't check the paper sensor, if it does try to pull, you need to clean very well the "pick-up" and the under part. Try using "Thinner", it's very good!

Hope it work now.

OUT OF PAPER

The printer will attempt to pull in a sheet of paper out of the tray. If none is pulled, this is noted because a microswitch is not closed by the paper sheet as it goes by. This is the cause of the message. Check to be sure that the rubber roller that grips the paper initially is clean. I'll leave further comments to Benimur our local printer expert.
