If this is a older unit, I'd recommend to get new models, Sony has really improved the audio quality from the initial Dream Machine models. You'd love more the new ones.

Can you, and ready to spend $10, at least? Nobody here want a Million dollars. All of us know you haven't even dream that amount.
yes, but you will need an adapter to do so I believe. You will need a 1/8 in headphone to component audio plug (headphone to the white and red colored plugs), they are pretty easy to find. The headphone end goes to the laptop and the white and red plugs go to the back of the receiver. Note where you plug them in, either above or below the jacks you use should be the component they will be recognized as (Video 1, 2, AUX, etc.)
If there is an AUX pair of jacks, use that one, otherwise just pick one that is open and plug into those. Now with the remote select whichever component was associated with the plugs you used on the back of the receiver and you should be good to go.
1. hook/snap the loose arms into the bottom of the bassinet
2. slip hooked end through a small **** in the fabric on top side where the round metal tubing.
3. feel with fingers for the small hole in the tubing on the inside and fit the hook into there
... stupid design... took me hours to figure it out
are you using component video cables (red, green, blue) or composite (yellow, red, white)
most of the time if the blue or red cables from the component area seated firmly they cause the picture to be in black and white.
I have the same system, except for the TV, I have a project (that part doesn't matter).
From your Sat. go straight to your AV receiver
Again from you Sat. (all of the AV outputs are all live), go out from either 1 or 2 and go to your recorder Line 1 in.
From you AV receiver go to your TV.
All you have to do is hit record and you will record whichever channel you are on. I am having difficulty getting it set up as a PVR, but will figure it out sooner or later.
