Disable touch screen - LG KU990 Viewty

1.Press the Windows logo key + X.
2.Select Device Manager from the list.
3.Click the little arrow next to Human Interface Devices to expand the list.
4.Click the touch screen driver (in my case, NextWindow Voltron Touch Screen).
5.Right-click, and select Disable from the list.
6.Click Yes on the dialog box that asks if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.
7.Restart your computer
When you want your touch screen to work again, follow the process above, EXCEPT when right-clicking the touch screen driver, select Enable

Go to the search bar, type device manager it will be listed under control panel. The touch screen may have been disabled by accident or maybe a driver malfunctioned. under Human Interface Devices it will be one of those, right click on them and see if any say enable go ahead and click enable. If none are disabled try clicking "update driver software" it will be located under the same menu as the disable/ enable feature. i will attach two pictures of what it looks like. Now if neither of these works i would say it's a faulty touch screen.

Touch screen is part of the entire screen, its like how it is on every smartphone. You cannot disable it.

type ser in the start menu search box and disable tables & touch screen

just don't touch it is the easiest way.. when you start messing around with touch screen setting you'll open up a miriad of problems

You do not have to actually disable the touch pad on this laptop to use an "external" mouse. Just plug in your mouse and it will install the drivers if needed and viola, your good to go. If you insist on disabling your touch pad however, you can do that by double tapping the top left hand corner, when you do this correctly, a little orange light will show and the screen will show a notification the the touch pad is disabled. To enable the pad back on, just repeat the same step you used to disable, and the on screen notification will indicate the touch pad is enabled!
