Machine is seized with the needle in the down position. Any ideas how to fix it?

There should be a button in the balance wheel on the left side of the machine. Not sure on your model, but most of the Necchi's pull out and push in. That disenguages the needle arm to wind a bobbin. Some of them screw in or out, but generally pull out. You might try pulling it out and then pushing it back in, until it clicks. Then it should work fine.

- check ifu are using same needle model.
- check hight of needle bar is ok
- check timming between needle bar and hook.
- check if your material is very stritch or no
- check blad point of hook is ok or no

Sounds to me like you may have put the needle in backwards. The flat side should be to the back.

Hi! The motor pulley may be worn and cant turn properly causing the motor to be forced so much. The result will be an instant overheating that results to belt burn too. You will need to replace the motor, pulley and the belt now to make it running. Hope this helps and have a good one!
