Your computer's clock is used to record the time whenever you create or modify files on your computer. You can change the clock's time and time zone.

  1. Open Date and Time by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Date and Time.
  2. Click the Date and Timetab, and then click Change date and time. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. In the Date and Time Settings dialog box, do one or more of the following:
    • To change the hour, double-click the hour, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
    • To change the minutes, double-click the minutes, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
    • To change the seconds, double-click the seconds, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
  4. When you have finished changing the time settings, click OK.
  5. To change the time zone, click Change time zone.
  6. In the Time Zone Settings dialog box, click your current time zone in the list, and then click OK.

    Note

    • If your time zone observes daylight saving time and you want your computer's clock to be adjusted automatically when daylight saving time changes, make sure the Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Timecheck box is selected.

  7. Click OK.

SOURCE: The laptop lenovo z560 does

Hi smialkovskyi,

With this specific concern that you do have, unable to turn on your Lenovo Z560, there 3 components that need to be checked. Your battery, the AC adapter (charger) and as well as the DC In port.

1.Based on what you have said, with the battery alone you have noticed that it's led indicator will show however still can't turn on system. Battery seems to be in good condition however no enough charge to turn on the system.

2. For your AC adapter, when you're using it without the battery nothing happens. To check if this is defective try using another AC adapter that is compatible to your unit. If your computer turned on using another AC adapter then your charger needs replacement. (You may also try using your charger to other unit where it is compatible, just to test).

3. However, if after doing the previous instruction and still system won't turn on then it could be the DC In port which is defective. This port is built in to *********** board.

After doing all these you need to contact Lenovo. They might be replacing your charger or *********** board if system is under warranty.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Lenovo z560 cpu overheating problem solved

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

Lenovo z560 getting overheated and switched off

if you keep the mains charger plugged in all the time then this can cause the battery to heat up. if you use the laptop in the same position all the time then try removing the battery for use or when the battery is fully charged then remove the charger, this will also preserve the lifespan and battery operation.hope this is of help to you,

Hi hitesh,

I see you need a motherboard driver or what we term as a chipset driver.

See this link to download the chipset driver for your system ....

once on the website select Download Drivers & Software, then Click the TAb Browse Product.

  • Then on the drop down select Laptop and Notebooks then click continue
  • Then select Ideapad Z series then click continue
  • Then select Ideapad Z560 then click continue
  • Then all Machine types will be highlighted just click on continue again
  • Then select the version of windows that you have installed on you computer
  • Once you have select the specific Windows on your system this will show you information of all the driver of your computer
I hope that this will help.
