Water inside the player now not working

If drying out the player in a warm spot for several days and if it still does not work, then most likely the player is damaged beyond repair.

How do I use Windows Media Player? A Help Guide
By Tha Mp3 Doctor
There have been a ton of questions on how to use Windows Media Player in the Fixya forums. This article also covers the often-asked question: “How Do I Add Songs to My Mp3 Player?,” “How do I transfer songs to my Mp3 player?,” “How do I delete songs from my Mp3 player?,” and “How do I get songs from Cd’s onto my Mp3 player?”
First, a note – not all Mp3 players work with Windows Media Player – it is best to check with your mp3 player’s user manual – these manuals are usually available from the manufacturers’ websites - to make sure they don’t have any other software recommendations for you. Some mp3 players have their own proprietary software for transferring/deleting songs. Nonetheless, more and more Mp3 players work with Windows Media Player – probably 80%, at least.
Second, there are many versions of Windows Media Player out there. A few older Mp3 players still work with Windows Media Player 9. Most work with Windows Media Player 10 or 11 only. If your mp3 player user’s manual only suggests using Windows Media Player 9 or 10, you may experience problems when connecting your Mp3 player to a computer operating Windows Media Player 11 – some mp3 model #’s have a firmware upgrade which eliminates the bad effects of using Windows Media Player 11 in these circumstances. Other model #’s do not have such a fix, and will cause you problems – check the manufacturers’ warnings on their websites. Philips makes some mp3 players that work with Windows Media Player 11 and some that do not, for instance. The model # is more important than the manufacturer name in these cases.
For instructions on rolling back to an earlier version of Windows Media Player, go to:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/readme.aspx?info=EXLINK#RollingbacktoapreviousversionofthePlayer
I have switched from ver. 11, back to 9, forward to 10, forward to 11, back to 10, and forward to 11 all without incident, and without losing a single music, picture or video file – just in case you are worried about the prospect.

How do i get started dowmloading

Depending on the Mp3 player you have.... Each player uses different media player to use... the ipod will only work with apple... the zune will only work with zune marketplace... most generic mp3's players will work with windows media player.. If it is a generic mp3 player... iriver .. coby...sony.. toshiba...creative...etc you can use wmp (windows) for your set up.. open windows media player.. connect the mp3 player to it it should recognize it and walk you through it... You can right click on the song and select add to player .. then sync it and you are off and running... hope this helps

In car usb conection wont work

It appears this stereo is compatible with a limited number of mp3 players. I had the same problem with my Ford Edge Sync option. See if you can get a list of compatible players from the manufacturer/ dealer. If not, try different mp3 players until you find one that works reliably and purchase one.

Not working

I had the same problem.
Do the following and the player will SURELY work.

Download this .zip file:
http://www.transcend.nl/support/dlcenter/Driver/TS840V1.61_1009.zip

Extract the file and read the firmware update manual.

Next run the TS840_V1_61.exe file and follow the instructions.
When it tells you to insert the player, press the decrease volume button while inserting it into the computer.

After some time, the firmware update will be complete. Now add the files you want to play.

This also works for people who do not have specific sections of the player working. (i.e.) players in which only the photo and video part does not work, etc.

CAUTION : If you follow these steps, your MP3 player will be restored to their original quality. This is a foolproof, sureshot method of restoring the player. But all your files will be deleted. So take a backup and then proceed.

Thank you.
