Check your sim card,might not inserted properly or try to clean the sim card interface using a pencil erase,scrub it,might corroded,try to replace another sim to be able to check if that is the only problem or also check the simcard socket if it is clean,check the pin if its align too, if this thing never works,probably need to repair or replace component such as sim ic,better ask assistance to a mobile service center for parts replacement.
Hallo! You should check your sim card in an other phone. It might be damaged. But, if your operator is 3G, this sim card wouldn't work in a GSM phone, because are different, it's not the same as GSM SIM.
it may be due to network lock, contact service provider , else you can get unlock codes here http://www.onlinegsmunlock.com/ you need to specify the phone model and network provider
