Acer aspire t180 pc has parallel and usb ports printer does not work help

I would say, it quite possible. If, the printer is a USB connection then it is only the matter of assuring the drivers for the printer will work properly with the operating system. You may obtain the latest drivers here HP DeskJet 722C printer

It is always possible to use old peripherals on newer machines, it is only the matter of researching the internet to rather any available adapters are on the market to maintain older printers.

The laptop will be compatible with almost every printer so long as you have the installation disk. If its an old printer and does not have a way to plug in a usb port there is a special adapter that goes from the printer port to usb port that way it is compatible.

You can't have a double hook up to it,When the parallel port is used the usb port is disabled and when you use the usb port the parallel port is disable.This is done to prevent damage to the printer.You can network the laptop with the pc and print that way though

Providing the wireless adaptor is a PCI card this fits the white slot on motherboard.
Should it be USB, then plugs in the USB port.

need to "hook up" acer 8spire T180, desktop with Windows Vista to a Lexmark 2500 series combo unit fax and printer. Do I need a Modem, for this???

YOu can download driver from the acer wbsite. or copy and paste to the address bar the link provided by geek63640, and then in "product line" select "Desktop" then in product select "aspire T 180" and in the download column select what driver you want to download.

But recommended to download all the drivers and then install all. pls install in series.

Have you downloaded a "driver" for the printer. If not, search for "Lexmark 1200" free driver downloads. Or go to "control panel" and click on "add new hardware" and follow the onscreen instructions. Try this first and if not work, then do the search.

mayba your printer driver that was in your cd is not compatible with windows vista.. try to download a new printer driver that supports windows vista from the manufacturer's site. then try to install it.. this would help you out..

Might be trivial, but try the volume controls, that little speaker icon on the Windows task bar.
