I'm getting an EErr code, even after replacing the batteries. Is there a reset? or has the scale gone defective?

I just changed the batteries in my Salter scale 2010 and I get: EE. Do you know what that means and how I can get the scale to work? Thanks

The EE code means there is an error, possibly because the replacement batteries are defective or installed incorrectly.

I need to reset my whole producx bath scale I lost the directions

I could not find that scale itself, maybe a typo or no model #. Here basic scale reset info: Follow these instructions to reset your scale.
  1. Remove all batteries from the back of your scale.
  2. Leave the scale without its batteries for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Reinsert the batteries. Check that the batteries are firmly in place.
  4. Place your scale on a flat, even surface without carpet.
  5. Press the center of the scale with one foot to wake it up. The scale will calibrate and display a series of dashes.
  6. "0.0" will appear on the screen. Step on the center of the scale.
  7. Remain on the scale until your weight appears. You will hear a short beep when your weight registers.
  8. Step off the scale. A series of dashes will move across the display.

SOLVED: Taylor 5798f scale wont turn on,i have new batteries

If your Taylor 5798f scale won't turn on even with new batteries, there could be a few possible reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check the battery placement: Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly, with the positive and negative ends aligned properly.
2. Clean the battery contacts: Sometimes, dirt or residue can accumulate on the battery contacts, preventing proper electrical connection. Use a clean cloth or cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the battery contacts.
3. Reset the scale: Look for a reset button or a small hole on the underside of the scale. Use a paperclip or a similar tool to press and hold the reset button for a few seconds. This may help reset any internal settings that could be causing the issue.
4. Replace the batteries: Even though the batteries are new, they could be faulty or have low power. Try replacing them with a different set of new batteries to see if that resolves the issue.
5. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps work, it's best to reach out to Taylor customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps or guide you on how to get the scale repaired or replaced if necessary.
Remember to refer to the user manual or contact Taylor customer support for specific instructions related to your model of scale.

Need to reset scale weight

You have probably set your scale to kilogram and not pounds. There should be a button to set this underneath the scale or even a reset button to reset the scale to its original settings.
