I have two RF P2D412's running off a RF P500-2 amp...
everythings been working great, aside from the amp over heating after 4 hours of high volume play (understandable, lol) i broke them in for what i thought was properly, but ive noticed a high pitched noise, like a squeak on the one sub when it hits (cant hear it in the car just outside when the trunk is popped), does it for almost all tones of bass... it does it on low and high volume... both subs work great and hit hard... and im just trying to figure out what it is and if its harmful....

You did not specify what type of enclosure the subs are in or if they share the same airspace. But the sound you describe sounds suspiciously like the enclosure is at fault and not the sub itself.
Remove and reverse the subs in the box and test for the noise again. If the noise is still produced on the same side of the box, it's the enclosure. If the noise follows the sub, then you have a problem with that sub.
If the box is making the noise, and it's a ported box, you probably have "port noise". If it's a sealed enclosure, you could have either an air leak or flexing noise. In either case, repair the enclosure or put the subs in a new one. If the sub itself is making the noise, there probably isn't much you can do. Most likely some part of the voice coil assembly is touching where it should not.

When you remove the subs, take care with the screws and use the same holes in the MDF. I have removed and reinstalled subs without stripping out the wood many times. Just don't overtighten, and please don't put any NEW holes in the enclosure.
If you do find a defective voice coil, yes, you can probably chalk it up to a defect in manufacturing. If a sub is not overpowered, the voice coils should not fail. But too much power can sometimes push a coil beyond it's intended maximum travel causing damage and problems with the sound.

it is a sealed enclosure and they are together...
i thought about taking them out and such, but was worried with the particle board bout having too many holes, especially since they are my second set of subs in the box. looks like i dont have much of a choice though, but thanks for the advice!
if it is the sub, and the voice coil is acting up, what caused it? if the other one doesnt do it... manufacturer problem?
