Factory Remote Control for Sylvania model SRT2319 doesn't work

The remote control no longer controls my TV. I cant get any remote to control tv. I have DISH and tried to program the remote to turn TV on etc. It wont work so i bought an RCA universal remote and it still wont work. I still have the factory remote with new batteries. It wont operate my TV. Can you offer some advice?

    my remote from my 19in sylvania doesn't work. Sometimes, it will work and then it won't. I can turn on the tv manually. I had tried with a universal remote as well and it didn't work.

GOOGLE THE MODEL NUMBER OF THE SET (IF ORIGINAL REMOTE) WITH "manual" which would get the owner manual to do this.

Each set is different in this process.

We have 2 Sylvania TV's. The remotes work on one TV but the other TV no longer recognizes the remotes. It gradually seemed to lose reception of the signal from the remote. Any ideas?
The tv has a infared remote eye located at the front panel. It is possible that the remote eye sensor has gone bad. You could try cleaning the remote eye lens. There might be debris that got inside the remote eye housing and is blocking the sensor. You could also try installing fresh batteries in the remote.

you will have to call the number on the back of the TV. There you can by a remote. I had the same problem.
