I want instructions for replacing the mother board in my Presario V6000

You're accidentally touching the Touch Pad when you are typing. A solution to this problem is to use a mouse with your Presario V6000 and turning off the Touch Pad.

A new motherboard on ebay is around 100 - 125 dollars. The video is intergrated and therefor unrepairable.

If the laptop appear to boot up (ie the hard disk LED flashes) but you cannot see an image on the screen, then you could have a backlight problem.

There are various types of the v6000, check bottom of laptop for the specific sub model and check here:

If you do not have the original cd that came with your notebook and you are able to get online, go to HP/Compaq support website, enter your notebook model information and re-download the drivers. This should correct your problem. Let us know if works. Good Luck.

You can get the wireless drivers in the laptop itself. U need to type in the start search as recovery manager and when the window is opened, click on the advanced options and select the option hardware driver installation. Search for the sound driver and select it and it get re-installed. If this doesnt work try to go to hp.com and select support and drivers and enter the product number of the laptop and follow the onscreen instructions.
