I had this very same problem on my yard machine. It is very hard to trace with a volt meter because fuse blows when you turn the key on. I would remove loom covering wire harness and inspect all wires, look for one that's worn through and grounded out. I inspected every inch of wire on my unit. I ended up removing flywheel and noticed magnets on inside of the flywheel had come loose and crashed in to stator coil causing unit to ground out immediately when key turned on. I reglued magnets to flywheel and replaced stator coil and my problem was solved. Good luck to you!

2004 Ford Ranger 10 amp fuse keeps blowing no brake lights, abs, turn signals?

Fuses blow because there is an overload on the system. If the fuse blows when you step on the brakes then there may be a short in the wiring from the brake light switch to the lights, abs module or turn signal switch. If the fuse blows when you turn the key on then there is likely a short in the wiring to the brake light switch. Basically you will need a wiring schematic to check the wires at the switch and at each of the loads. Also verify that the fuse is supposed to be a 10 amp fuse. Hope this helps

I have a ford transit flatbed and a 15 amp small blade fuse in the cab fuse box keeps blowing while driving when it blows the engine cuts out and when you turn the key to restart nothing happens at all...

Well u will need an amp meter that will check out the current thru fuse with nothing on " multi function" besides the motor running and see if it solves your problem and tell us your current reading .

Turn signal fuse nkeep blowing

Right front turn signal has a bare wire grounding out, has water in the lens, or has the wrong bulb stuffed in there somehow, or it is wired backwards. It is the right front, its the only one that turns on when you turn the key on...the rear doesn't. Check for a bare wire first.

Can a bad voltage regulator cause the main 30 amp fuse to blow?

Usually a bad regulator will only cause problems with charging...
Sounds like you've got a short somewhere in the wiring...I'd start by checking the ignition switch wiring and the connections going into the fuse box.

When i turn my key to the start position the ignition start/run fuse blows. 2004 ram 1500 3.7 engine

probably a bad starter solenoid, first remove the negative battery cable, then remove the two wires from your starter, wrap them in black tape so they wont short out on anything, repl, ace your fuse and hook battery back up and turn key to start, no blown fuse-bad starter, if it blows the fuse it's a wiring short and you should take it to a qualified mechanic

Snapper yard cruiser 33in. cut joystick blows

Unplug the engagement clutch[it bolts to the motors crank] and try to engage again. If the fuse does'nt blow you need a clutch. If it does still blow you need a switch or you have a short in the harness.

Veh wont start

by looking at the wiring diagram for your truck. the pcm1 fuse only feeds the pcm so most likely it is a grounded wire between the fuse block and pcm. follow the wire harness closely between the two and see if its grounded somewhere. also try disconnecting the pcm and see if the fuse still blows. that would isolate the problem to the wiring. it is highly unlikely that the pcm would cause the problem.

EFI FUSE BLOWS

u can use a headlight to find the short use a old style headlight usually 3 prongs use some 14 guage wire and hook to prongs to head light and run the other end of the wires where efi fuse goes turn key on the headlight will light up as long as there is a short , u can then start wiggle wiring or unplugging engine sensors till headlight goes out when it goes out you have found the short
