Kenmore 90 Series Washer

My Kenmore model # 110.28912791 90 Series washer just stopped spinning. The unit fills, agitates, and drains, but will not spin. For some unknown reason, the interior of the washer smells! I keep the lid open but it continues to smell like somethings "wet", mildew. any help? Kenmore 90 series

Kenmore washer 90 series will not agitate or spin the lid switch is good and the coupler is not broke the moter make a sound when it should be agiatating or spinning

Sounds like the agitator gear is broken or slipping. Check and see if it is compressed and making full contact withy the shaft.

It sounds like you have a bad timer. If you change the position of the timer and it does not change what is going on the the timer has to be bad. However I am not certain what you mean by the agitator turns all the time. Is it agitating while spinning and draining?

Kenmore series 70 washer will only fill with water.

I recently had this problem. It was found that the main drive belt broke and the washer would fill but not spin, agitate or drain. I replaced the belt and everything worked again. A defective or disconnected cover switch would also cause the same problem.
