You have a Brother 920D Serger

Visit the Brother USA or Canada website and email them directly for a digital copy.

Hopefully they can assist you in acquiring a user manual. There might be a number of places on the internet you can find a copy as well.

I have an older brother 920D surger and i have no idea how to use it or where to begin

Here is your owner's manual.

Make sure you have fresh serger thread and at it is best when you first start to use as many different colors as there are spool holders. This way you will learn which thread is doing what on the finished seam. Sergers can be frustrating...so take your time to really understand how they work.

One final note. EVERY new material needs a new tension adjustment. Always test sew on scrap and adjust tension to balance stitches before you try sewing your project.

Good Luck.
