Garage opener not responding with remotes, keyless pad, or wall console. Can hear it click but nothing happens. Green light in opener blinks 5 times. When i reset the green light stays on until i try to operate opener then it goes back to 5 blinks.

Sounds like the battery in wall unit is low, or it needs to be programed for the opener. If you are not comfortable programming remote you may have to cal a GDO company. You can call Chamberlain and the will help you.

Jun 27, 2006 - Now, I cannot get the light in the sensor at the door to come on. ... the green LED went OUT about 1/2 way up the door opening sequence. .... other is working (I don't recall if it's green or amber, but know that it is lit.) ... Their is also a green LEDflashing 2 times every 5 seconds or so at control center of unit.
Check to make sure the door sensors are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. If you cannot get both lights to come on then your sensors have failed.
Usually when this happens it is because the door is open and the trolley is jammed against the bolt just in front of the motor unit. Try loosening the chain to relieve the pressure on the trolley and then close the door. While the door is closed locate the 'up limit' control on the side of the motor unit and turn this control 2 full turns in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Now tighten the chain.
The code for 5 flashes is "
Motor overheated or
possible RPM sensor failure. Unplug to reset." Also if the door is stuck in the open position it could be the trolley is jammed against the bolt just in front of the motor unit.
The trolley (the part that moves back and forth and is connected to your door) of your opener is most likely jammed against the bolt just in front of the motor unit. You can remove the bolt or loosen the chain until your unit will run. Once the door is closed find the 'up limit' on the side of the motor unit and turn it about 3 turns in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Now replace the bolt or tighten the chain. Whichever you first did.
this just happened to us today as well. the wall pad has three buttons: one large back-lit button pad to open it and a lock button and a light button. the open button was blinking quickly and would open the door, but the car remotes did not work. I found that by pushing both the "lock" and "light" button at the same time for about 3 or 4 seconds, the back-lit "open" pad stopped blinking and went to steady green. I went back to the cars and checked the remotes there. both opened the door.
Just fixed this problem tonight. Had the 5 blink/flash thing. Opened it up and saw that the motor wasn't spinning so it wasn't a bad rpm sensor. Jumped the red to black and then the blue to black to verify motor worked. At that point assumed it was the logic board not telling the motor to start, but I could hear the click of the relay. Pulled the logic board out and noticed a solder joint that had failed directly behind one of the relays. Resoldered that joint and the garage door opener worked again like a dream. Hope that helps someone else.
First, check the safety eyes. There should be a light on on each eye. If not realign until they come on. On the wall button if the green light is blinking press the lock button on the wall control for three seconds. The light will go solid. If either of these do not fix respond with more detail and I will help.
