Lost activatoin code for 520 tomtom no help

To obtain an activation code, the first thing you need to do is to find the product code of your TomTom product. This productcode can be found on one of these places:

• on the 'productcode card' in your TomTom box;
• in your CD jewel case, behind your CD;
• in your CD box, behind CD 2;
• on your My Account page (for Map downloads);
• This product code consists of 3 groups of 5 characters and digits.

Call Microsoft with that error code..

Activation codes are included ONLY with a GPS that is bought BRAND NEW in its ORIGINAL TomTom box. Also, TomTom activation codes are SPECIFIC to your GPS serial number, so "any: activation code will not work.
Unfortunately, if you didn't buy your GPS new, or have the original TomTom box with all its contents, you can't get or use an activation code.

go to tomtom.com, go to support, search for reset, select your device do as told. includes fotos of resetbutton and good discription. first make sure battery is full. goodluck.

To reset your tt 520 use a straightened paperclip and insert it into the reset hole on the bottom of your tt 520 for 20 seconds.

the activation code is not used for anything but to activate your maps....which is not dine anymore....the activatoin code is useless...

the real issue at hand is that the softwre on the unit is messing up....go to www.tomtom.com/9091 and follow these steps

You can find your product activatoin code in one of these places:

• in your CD jewel case, behind one of the CDs;
• on the Plus pages under My Maps(for your downloadable Maps);
• in TomTom HOME 1.x by clicking Explore from the Options menu and then double-clicking the map (for Map downloads)
• in TomTom HOME 2.x by clicking Show contents of my device, then expanding Maps and then clicking More info.

Im slightly confused???

what was it you need your product code for?
You brought new maps, that need a product code to install?

Now tomtom say you need to buy new maps to get a new product code?

Call TomTom support 1-866-486-6866 (www.tomtom.com) and they will help you pretty quickly with that problem.
