How to reset Admin password D-Link print server DP-301P+

I have forgot admin password of D-Link print server DP-301P+. It has no any hard reset button. Pleae give me any solution to reset it.

    The default IP address of the Web interface ishttp://192.168.0.10 which means you need to be at the 192.168.0.x /24 subnet.


    First you have to have a separate Manually set you PC's IP to 192.168.0.11 with netmask 255.255.255.0 and then browse to it.


    If you cannot browse to it, then it may have a different setting other than default. If it is set to use DHCP for Ip address, then connect it to your network, check router/DHCP server for new connected devices.


    May also just email D-Link about how to do it. You may need to open the case to get the reset button.

Unfortunately the D-Link Print Servers are secure and cannot be reset without the password. The unit will have to be sent to D-Link to be reset.

I want to reset the print server D-Link DP-301P+. I forgot IP address which I was changed according to network settings.
There are two steps that we can suggest,

A)

1) Install the psadmin software if you have not already. If you have lost the psadmin software then search for it on the web.
2) Start the psadmin software and click "factory reset".
3) If the software demands a password, try "SYSxxxx", where xxxx stands for the last four digits of the MAC address located on the underside of your server. (Example: if your MAC address were "63 XE 29 44 F2 96", then your password would be SYSF296.)
4) Click yes to confirm the reset.

B)

On the back of the print server you will find a pin hole, insert a paper clip for 30 secs with the print server powered on. All lights will flash. Try to setup the server again.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to manually reset this without using the web-interface.

However, if it was somehow reset already, the default password for this unit is nothing. They do not use a password by default, so try it without one.

By default the DP 301P+ does not come with a password. If there is one installed (and you don't know what it is), you can reset the device to factory defaults from the Tools menu in the web configuration utility. Be aware that you will lose all settings in the print server when you do this.

Unfortunately, D-Link doesn't provide a way to reset the password if you lose it. This is from their website:

Forgotted the Ip of D-Link DP 300U print server
You may use the PSAdmin software to configure your print server even if you don't know the IP address. The only requirement is that the DP-300U has to be in the same network (subnet) as your PC running PSAdmin. In the PSAdmin, you will then be able to view or change the IP address.

Remember that if you also have forgotten the Admin password, you will have to ship the unit to D-Link in order to have it factory reset.

To paraphrase,
First try logging in with the following
username: psadmin
password: SYSXXXX
(where XXXX is the last four digits of the mac address)
If it works, you can proceed to reset the password.
