:) Luckily, these GE touch screen models can now be affordably repaired.

Full official details on the fix are at http://www.microwavecontrol.com/jvm2070.htm.

SOURCE: replacing door handle on microwave ge profile

You will need to access the door handle mounting screws and remove them to replace the door handle. To access these screws on MOST microwave ovens, you just have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. This can be easily be accomplished by using a small screwdriver or putty knife and carefully insert along the seam of the inner panel and pry the plastic up. Work your way slowly around the perimiter of the glass to pop the panel loose. Use care not to pry against the glass. The glass is tempered and also has an RF shield that shields you from harmful microwaves.

With the inner panel removed, the door handle screws are visibile and can easily be accessed with a screwdriver. Simply remove the broken handle and install the new one. Re-insert the inner door panel, gradually working your way around the perimeter of the door glass to ensure it snaps back into place and seats properly.

This repair can be done with the door in place, or you can remove it for easier access. If you decide the remove the door, open it all the way and lift straight up at the hinges. The door will lift off of the hinge pins. On some microwaves, you may have to remove the upper grill cover over the door (if equipped) to accommodate door removal. Place on a hard flat surface with some towels under it for padding. This protects the door facing from scatches.

NOTE: Some doors have a hinge pin that needs to be removed, or screws holding the door in place at the hinge.

You can view an exploded view diagram of your microwave at pcappliancerepair.com for reference. Just type in your model number and locate the parts listing for the door. If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: I have a GE Profile Spacemaker Microwave Touch Pad does not work

Sadly, GE does not make individual parts available for these controllers, so they cannot be repaired.

You have to replace the control panel sub-assembly (part number WB07X10733 in your case) and the best price I've found on that is $370.32 here (compared to $483.25 direct from GE).

In my opinion, this does not do much to inspire brand loyalty...

Or you may be able to find a whole oven on eBay for about that or less.

Sorry to bear bad news. Good luck.

SOURCE: I have a 2003 GE Spacemaker model 2.0 (JVM2070WH001): the touch pad has stopped responding to any input. Can it be fixed?

Yes! but the whole keypad control or smart board will need to be replaced. I highly recommend a professional for this job and do a spot check on the rest of the unit.

SOURCE: Key pad on my GE Profile Spacemaker 2.0, Model JVM2070choo1 does not respond.

1) the control board is faulty. however you can try to clean the keypads for dirty , oxide, or corrosion, Of course you must try to unplugged the power cord and discharge the capacitor see the diagrams.

Ge profile microwave oven touchpad not working

The touch pad is more than like the problem. This is common. Try removing the ribbon connector and reinserting it back in the receptacle. If this doesn't fix the problem then replace the touch pad.

GE Profile Microwave Oven with an F1 error code

F 11 code. it is a touch pad error.
If you just cleaned the control panel it may have water in the panel causing a key to stick.
If after a day or 2 it hasn't dried out - then you will need to replace the touch pad.

Visit www.searspartsdirect.com and enter in your full model number for a parts breakdown and schematics.

Our GE Profile started beeping and flashing f 3. None of the buttons will work now.

This code will occur if a shorted key panel is detected continuously over 60 seconds. Replace key panel (also called touch pad). Once the key panel is replaced, the issue will be solved.
