Software installation problems

While attempting to install the software, the 1st thing I see is an error that my "screen resolution is not sufficient to execute digital camera solution disc" I can't get past this in any way, to load the software. the computer runs windows 2000 and should be robust enough to run the software, it ran the predecessor software (on older Canon digital model) without problems. You do not need software for the computer to read the camera to upload images. The supplied disc with digital cameras is best left in the box let windows do the work If you would like an images editor then downloaf Picasa which is free or invest in a full editing software such as Coral paintshop pro or one of the Serif range

Trying to install software for Canon Powershot A640 on a Acer Aspire One Netbook. Receive error message "The screen resolution to execute Digital Camera Solution Disk is not sufficient."

Skip the installing of any software, unless you like the Canon editing or viewing software, if that is on the cd.
Get a card reader for this machine, and skip any drivers whatsoever.
By using a card reader/writer it is not necessary to get any software or drivers on your machine from Canon. The card reader will read as another drive.

Screen says JVM Error 513 Reset

install Blackberry Desktop on your computer and download the latest Blackberry Phone software from your carriers webite and instal it on your computer. Then connect your phone WITHOUT the battery to your PC and Click on App Loader. Follow directions and install the Software. The Installation WILL FAIL THE 1ST TIME. Thats normal. This time connect the phone WITH the battery and try the same thing again and you will have a brand new phone. except your Data.

When I install the cd , a error sign comes up

Which software is this? What is the error? If it is screen resolution, here are the steps:

click start/control panel/display/settings and adjust screen resolution to the high side. Once installed, you may adjust the resolution wherever you prefer.

I am not sure if this is your error, but it is a common problem and a quite easy fix.

Hope this helps!

Screen resolution not sufficient to install ver.30.0 software.

I had the same issue with my Netbook. In order to get the software onto my netbook I had to use an external monitor. I set up my HD monitor as the main monitor through the graphics driver. I set the main monitor from notebook to monitor. Then I installed the package and set the main screen back to notebook. I can use the EOS Utility which allows my to download my raw images and remotely control my camera, but I cannot run DPP. I hope this is of help

Unable to install the canon Software

Under your control panel in "Display" go to the settings tab and slide the resolution bar to:

Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels or more,
Color quality: Medium (16 bit) or more

That should do it.

Scanner won't scan

Hello, It may be possible that the error msg that you are receiving may be referring to another error. 1st thing I would try is checking the resolution, in some cases if the resolution is too high it may result with numerous issue's if your random access memory (RAM) is not sufficient enough to accommodate the resolution that you attempting to scan with. Try reducing the resolution, also try a different file type, either jpeg or tiff etc..,if all failes check to see if you have the latest driver(s) update for your scanner.
