Reset drum count - Sharp AL-1217 Copier

When you change the drum you must reset the drum count.
1: press ONLINE button once. The lcd display will read offline.
2: press MENU button until the lcd display reads MAINT. Menu.
3: press ITEM+ button twice. The lcd display will read drum count reset.
4: press SELECT button once. this will save the drum count reset.
5: press ONLINE button once. You will notice the Change Drum Message
has disappeared. You should be able to print at this time.

You need to reset the drum count on the machine. To do this press [MENU], [5], [2], [04] then when it says reset drum count use the up or down keys until it says yes then press enter.

Reset DCP 7030 drum unit : -LCD-
Press MENU and turn on printer - MAINTENANCE
arrows 81 and OK -RESET DRUM COUNT
press OK -RESET LIFE COUNT
press CLEAR / BACK
arrows 99 and OK
ready

You have to open the front door and then press options, should see Replace Drum? just answer yes.

Reset the Drum Count:
 
Open the Status Monitor. 
Click Printer Setup tab. 
Click on Printer Menu button 
Click the Maintenance tab 
Click on the Drum Counter Reset button.

In the copier mode go into f7 mode and reset the drum or process unit count this should clear it

There is a chip on the back of the drum unit that keeps count. It cannot be reset. You may try to find a replacement chip on the internet. I would recomment the rechargerstore.com They have good products. I do not know how long your drum will last, you may end up having to replace it for copy quality problems at some point.

You need to reset the drum count. Open the toner door. Hold the "Go" key until all 4 lights light up. Let go of the button and close the door. That should reset the drum count and stop the blinking.

go to the menuel button and scrool down until you see reset count.do not silect toner reset.choose drum reset and enter and it will (0) out.
