The picture does not display on the LCD and they are all blank, it is also show error message on the apetch, what could be the problem

Unstable or unclear image issues may be caused by incorrectly programmed VGA timings or incorrectly installed monitor drivers. b> Dead Pixels b> Dead pixels and sub-pixels can cause a variety of display enjoyment problems. Acer will only accept returns on LCD computer monitors that have "more than four (4) defective pixels per million pixels." Further, the central area of the monitor may have no more than one defective pixel. Acer does not differentiate in warranty terms between pixels and sub-pixels. Hope this helps.

LCD screen is damaged and replacing the lens is the solution for your camera.

Have you tried pressing the 'INFO' button? This little button will toggle between camera info on display/no info on display (when the display isn't in use to display pictures).

These cameras are on the list of the ccd problems.

The LCD screen of the Camera may display a FILE ERROR message when trying to view a still image on the Camera if the image was rotated, modified and overwritten using editing software on a Computer.

Did you accidentally press the DISP or DISPLAY button on back (it turns the screen off to save batteries). If so, press this button again to turn your LCD screen back on.

I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback as well.

I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito, Ecuador)

The Display button manually turns the LCD display on or off to save batteries. If you accidentally had turned the LCD off, It should only take one press of the button to turn it back on and leave it that way. As such, it's not you but the camera. The A570 IS is relatively new. Your camera is likely still under warranty. If so, contact Canon for warranty repair (see the following link):

CCD malfunction, common with Sony manufactured CCD chips. You are in luck, its a free repair regardless of warranty date.
