SOURCE: Gas stove works, but oven does not

you most likely have a bad oven ignitor...if you see an orange glow under the oven panel that is your ignitor trying to come on....but if it is weak it will not open the gas valve.....acess the ignitor and replace it

SOURCE: oven gas

If the smell is coming from behind the oven, you probably have a leak at one of the connections of the gas line leading from the wall to the oven. If the smell is coming from inside the oven, you have a leaking gas valve, which is proabably a $60 to $100 part - something in that range.

SOURCE: I have a gas stove - Frigidaire model FGF326ASA.

You probably have a weak ignitor. To operate properly it should draw 3.5 amps or better. The ignitor must be bright. If it is dim it is weak.

SOURCE: Frigidaire gallery stove, oven not working,

Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

Thermador Professional Oven

hey man don;t worry i have too much solution if i explain u every thing then you confused so i explain one and if u want another then e-mail me on [email protected] so listen carefully

Step 1: Turn off the power supply, both gas and electric, to the range. Then remove the burner.

Step 2: Soak the burner in a solution of mild household detergent and water. Clean it with a soft cloth.

Step 3: Clear the gas ports with a pin or needle, rinse the burner, and let it dry. Caution: Do not use a toothpick or matchstick to clean the gas ports. If the tip of the wood gets stuck in the burner ports, it could cause a serious blockage.

Step 4: When the burner is completely dry, replace it, and turn on the power and the gas supply.

Stove top ignitors do not ignite but oven does.

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.

DCS 5 burner 30" oven makes loud noises as if starved for fuel

Hi; Is the oven run with LP or NAT gas. Sounds like a regulator problem not letting enough gas through. Also is this a comercial unit. If so when was the last time all burners and pilot orafices were cleaned out. The burner tubes have a air vent cut into the burner at the orafice. Make sure no debris have covered these airways. And lastly how old are the thermocouples and are they secure to the gas valves and have a good pilot flame on them...

Stoves 900G gas oven stopped working

A lot of times the problem is with a dirty or a clogged burner. Make sure the burner is clean.
If you have a pilotless model, it uses a spark igniter to ignite the gas, which works in a combination with a spark switch (located on the burner gas valve) and a spark module. Because it is not simple to test these parts and find out which one is defective, we recommend to contact a professional appliance technician.
