SOURCE: err 3 is displayed

Wrist blood pressure monitors must be used with the arm above heart level. You can do the pledge of allegiance while doing a reading to make sure this is done. Usually this error occurs when inflation takes too long or the placement of cuff is wrong.

SOURCE: Need instruction manual

Homedics makes several units that are virtually identical to the Walgreen counterparts. Why not try the Homedics web site? It has a support section. Be sure to list your model number as there are several wrist cuff models. If the web site doesn't help, either call Homedics or try a web search by listing your model number followed by 'manual'. I would have tried to find the manual for you but I don't know the model number. Good luck.

To delete the history first, press the User-Select Button. Then press and hold what looks like a tiny button clock and the + button to the right of it at the same time, while in memory recall mode and the data for that selected user will automatically be erased.

Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: When the blood pressure monitor reads E- error.

It depends on which E-error you're getting.

EE - indicates several things:

  • Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Always place cuff on wrist 1" above heal of hand.
  • Did you talk or move during measurement?
  • Shaking of the wrist with the cuff ON.
E1 - Air circuit abnormality. Measure again.

E2 - Inflation pressure exceeding 300 mmHg. Switch the unit OFF.Wait 1 minute, then measure again.

E3 - Error determining measurement data. Measure again.

Hope this helped you to determine which Error you're receiving. Please let me know.

Showing ee in the diastolic section, therefore its not taking the b/p

There are 3 things can cause the EE error code.

1. Cuff was placed incorrectly. Wrap cuff snugly around your wrist 1" above the heel of your left hand.

2. Moving or talking during measurement. Measure again keeping your wrist steady during measurement.

3. Shaking of the wrist with the cuff on. Solution is the same as # 2.

If you continue to have a problem with the cuff, contact HoMedics Customer Support 1-800-466-3342.

I hope this info was helpful and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Generally the EE error code stands for the following:

EE is a measurement symbol for one or more of the following;

  • Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Wrap the cuff properly so that it's positioned properly on the wrist. 1" above the heel of the hand.
  • Talking or movement during measurement. Shaking of wrist with the cuff on. Measure again, keeping the wrist steady and at heart level during measurement.
  • The value shown on the display is excessively Low or High. Wait 5 minutes and measure again.
Hope this helps you. If you continue to have a problem with the monitor contact HoMedic's Customer Support 800-466-3342. As most of their BP Monitors have a 5 year warranty.

My monitor shows 'EE". what

According to your User Guide, 'EE' stands for Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Wrap the cuff properly so that it is positioned correctly. Also, did you move during measurement? Measure again and hold arm and wrist still.

If you continue to have a problem wit the unit, contact HoMedics (the manufacturer) Customer Service Dept @ 800-466-3342. 8:30am - 5pm ET, Monday - Friday.

My wrist cuff monitor seems to be reading low. Is there a way to get it checked or calibrated?

The next time you go to your doctor, take the wrist cuff monitor with you. As they always do, the nurse or doctor will check you vital signs. After they do that and they've told you what your blood pressure and pulse readings are, correctly place the cuff monitor on your wrist and check you BP and Pulse with it. Compare the reading from the cuff monitor to what your doctor got. If it's within a few points, it's no big deal. If it's way off, than there's a problem with the cuff.

Remember, whenever using a cuff monitor, always keep your wrist at heart level for the most accurate reading. Once it's activated, remain completely still and don't move your wrist, until it has finished cycling.

I have a cuff like this and get an error saying EE

According to the Owners Manual, the EE Message shown on the display or the blood pressure value is displayed when an excessively low (or high) reading is detected OR as a result of one of the following:

1. Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Solution: Wrap cuff properly so that it's positioned correct.

2. Did you talk or move during measurement? Solution: Measure again. Keep wrist steady at heart level during measurement.

3. Shaking or moving of the wrist with the cuff on. Solution: Same as # 2.

NOTE: Be sure the cuff is placed exactly as pictured on the face of the box, 1/2" above the heel of the hand.
