I can't start my washer machine, it is in the controlled lock and will not let me do anything else.

This is a common issue with Whirlpool Duet washer however; your whirlpool duet washer needs a reset to resolve the control lock problem. Press and hold the END OF CYCLE /CYCLE SIGNAL button for 15 seconds to reset the control. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hi,

Try pressing the "End of Cycle Signal" button for 4 seconds. This should release the control lock. If it does not then you have an issue with one of the controls and service may need to be run. Let me know if you have questions.

IT IS POSSIBLE YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE DOOR LOCK OR CONTROL BOARD. CHECK YOU OWNERS MANUAL TOO SEE IF YOUR WASHER HAS A MANUAL RELEASE SO YOU CAN OPEN YOUR DOOR. USUALLY YOU CAN ACCESS A MANUAL RELEASE BY REMOVING THE FRONT BOTTOM PANEL AND REACHING UP UNDER THE DOOR LOCK AND FINDING A PLASTIC PULL PIECE WHICH YOU CALL PULL AND UNLOCK THE DOOR. MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG THE WASHER FIRST. CHECK THE DOOR LOCK MECHANISMS TO SEE IF ANYTHING IS BROKEN AFTER YOU GET THE DOOR OPEN.

hold the padlock button for 3 sec, if that doesnt work replace the user interface

there is a lock release tab accessible from lower cover on bottom of lock asm. open cover and pull tab down. replace door lock asm.

check your panel closly the lower right hand button is marked"control lock" hold for 3 secs and youll release the control lock

OMG!! I just held the button at the end of cycle signal for about 3 seconds and the light went off! Now my washer is working!

The door switch is damaged and needs to be replaced.

you have to push a button on right side which tells you to hold down this button for control lock
