    I have the same problem. my son let another boy use his phone. When we got it back it has codes on it that have locked it and we can't use it. The boy refuses to tell him what the codes are! Please help!!!

If you are with your current carrier for more then 90 days, you can request a code by calling their support number. It will take around 1 - 3 weeks to get the code from them, and its totally free.
If you are in hurry, you can buy one online using any website that offers unlocking code.

Unlock code for motorola l71
hopefully you have not forget or changed the security code.

when the phone asked for the unlock code,
press the menu key in te center of the keypad
now the phone is prompting you for the security code eg 12345
