First remove the current driver from add/remove programs applet in Control Panel ,reboot and then reinstall the driver from the drivers CD or download it from Acer: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads_gd.html
Select Notebook ,Aspire ,then 5610z, by default the operating system is Windows Vista but you can change it if you have Windows XP.
Download the bison driver and reinstall it.
The link posted below will take you to an Acer support page that contains the XP drivers for your Aspire 5610z. Near the bottom of the list are the Realtech Audio drivers that you need to install to get your sound working again. Let us know if you require more guidance?
