Speed queen heavy duty has problem leaving some oil/grease spots on clothes, for a couple of years now. Now the past two days the agitation and spin cycle sounded out of balance, but when I rearranged the clothing inside it did not help. Now today when I did a load of clothes, when they were done spinning, I open the lid to find them sopping wet. Respun them and opened the lid a little to find if was spinning them out and it was completely still but the moter was trying to spin. Help please.

I HAVE HAD THE SAME MODEL WASHER FOR 3 MONTHS AND AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. FROM THE BEGINNING IT HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH GETTING OFF BALANCE. TODAY I NOTICED SOMETHING BLACK UNDERNEATH THE WASHER. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WTIH THIS WASHER AND I HAVE READ AT LEAST TWO SIMILAR REVIEWS WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. I AM HOPING THEY WILL GIVE ME A NEW WASHER. I THOUGHT SPEED QUEEN WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SO GOOD. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!

Oil spots on clothes is from a seal on the drum. The balance issue is from shocks or springs that may be loose or broken and the spin issue is due to transmission. You may have a problem finding parts

SOURCE: grease /oil spots on clothes coming from washer

Hello,
This sounds like the drum bearings are starting to wear and allowing grease to infiltrate through the inner seal.Does it sound noisy on the spin cycle.

HI IS IT POSSIBLE THAT GREASE OIL CLOTHES CAN BE THE CAUSE OF GREASE SPOTS ON OTHER CLOTHES I THOUGHT IT THE SEALS THATS BROKEN I HAVE A SPEED QUEEN FOR 13 YEARS NOW

Sure, the launderette I used to use had a separate machine for washing dirty overalls etc. for this exact reason, transfer of grease to the next wash.

Oil/grease leaking into tub. Speed Queen AWM492W top load washer. How to fix?? Thank you.

Check to see if the oil is coming from under the agitator. If it is replace the transmission. If it is not check to see if there is a grease spot inside the was tub.

Vibration

With the age of the machine, although Speed Queen's are built like a tank, the suspension systems are one of the most worked systems on a clothes washer,so, that being said, I would check all related parts of the suspension system, springs, pivot, etc,.these parts do get tired, think of the amount of loads of clothes that you have run through the washer over those 15 years.

Good Luck !

Won't drain - no pumping sounds at all

if agitates an does not spin means is not going to drain, cause for not spinning broken door switch, look an see if you can feel it hanging or loose, if the swtich is broken it will not go into spin mode at all...........door switch is a safety device!

Spots on white clothes

This is from not enough HOT loads.

Fatty deposits gather between the basket and tub during COLD washes.

Then they are being released in large numbers when you do your whites on HOT.

It is recommended to do 1 HOT load per week.

Do an empty load with some degreaser added (like Goo-Gone) on the fullest/hottest setting you have.
