I have a Motorola H710 Bluetooth Headset. When I charge the headset a green light is displayed. After the charge is complete I unplug the headset and NO light is displayed. I flip open the boom and NO light is displayed. I hold the call button with the boom closed and open for 10 secs or 10 mins or 10 hours and NO light will display. There is suppose to be a blue light displayed to indicate that the headset is ON and working. Since there is NO light displaying that means the headset is OFF and not working. So my headset DOES NOT TURN ON! So I guess I will toss my headset in the garbage and never buy again Motorola product! Unless someone here has the magic solution. Thanks to anyone who can solve this problem! I will buy you a beer in the afterlife.

SOURCE: Can't connecto to headset again...

You are not alone in this endeavor. A lot of people have this problem. So, here is what I suggest. 1. Make sure both the headset and the phone are fully charged. 2. Delete the "device" from your phone. I mean precisely that. Go into you cell phone's bluetooth settings and erase your "HS850" from it. 3. Try re-pairing it. Put the phone and the headset in pairing mode and allow it to sync. This should do it. I always works for me. You usually only need to pair once and every time you use the headset all you should have to do is connect it. I hope this works for you. Good Luck.

SOURCE: Motorola H710 will not reset even when holding

If you can't reset your device- try this, which I just fiddled with and got mine to work (I had same problem). On headset, close boom, hold center button (and it turns pink). then, while keeping center button depressed, open boom- light remains pink. Then look on phone, and hit Add new device-- and bingo, it should be recognized now!! You'll be asked if u want to pair w/ Motorola-- and led through the process--follow those steps.

I had tried similar earlier, but the trick was to keep the button depressed, and then open the boom. I can't quite remember if I kept button depresed until I also pressed Add new device on phone or just until after opening the boom and the light stayed on ... Sorry I can't be exact; I was too excited. Hope this helps you get yours working!

Testimonial: "You are so awesome! Had to open the boom and let go of the middle button before it reset to solid pink and phone picked it up and sinked!!! Thankyou!"

SOURCE: Motorola H730 will not turn on even though it is fully charged

Sometimes they just die. Many electronic items, that have rechargeable batteries, need to be charged on a periodic basis in order to maintain the battery's functionality. If it's under warranty, Motorola is very good about replacing it. Otherwise, assume you'll need a new one. Good luck.

Where can I get a free download for the installer of my Motorola H710 Bluetooth headset

I don't think it comes with an installer. Instead, follow these instructions from eHow.com

1. Charge the headset for two hours before attempting to pair it.
2. Set the headset into pairing mode by opening the microphone. It will automatically go into pairing mode if it is the first time you are using the headset.
3. Set your phone into discovery mode by opening your Bluetooth settings and choosing to "Add" or "Search" for new devices.
4. Choose "Motorola H710" from the list of devices and enter the passkey, "0000," to complete the setup.

I need to reset the pass key in my bluetooth h710

Hi Jimenez,

The Passcode for the Motorlo H710 Bluetooth headset is 0000.

It can't be resetted or changed, so while connecting if your Phone or the Recieving device asks for the Bluetooth headset pass code just provide 0000 and it should start working.

Please revert me, if you need more assistance, i would be very glad to assist you more.
If you were satisfied with the solution please rate this sollution.

When I plug my Motorola H710 bluetooth in to charge the light only blinks red and when I use it it never seems to turn on?!

Here's the instructions for charging.
Plug the Motorola charger into the end of
the headset.
The indicator light turns red when the battery is charging. It may take up to 1 minute for the indicator light to turn on. When the headset's battery is fully charged (about 2hours), the indicator light turns green.

From your information, it may very well be that the battery should be replaced if the red light doesn't go off as it should.

Here's a link to the full instructions. I hope this helps.

When charging my H710 bluetooth, do I have to wait until the green light goes off before disconnecting it from the charger? Thanks

No, you don't have to wait. The green light doesn't actually go out. It stays green until you disconnect the headset from the charger.
