SOURCE: Bunn Coffee Maker Leaks out the bottom

The water that leaks is cold. It's leaking from the top. Unscrew two screws on the sides of the water-in grate. Lift off and put aside. The next level has 4 screws. Unscrew and put aside. Where the water enters the heating cannister, there is a clear grommet. It pulls off. Put a ring of silicone caulking on the cannister side of grommet and put it back. Press to get a good seal. Now the top part of the grommet also needs a seal. Take the second level piece and put a bead of caulk on outside of hole that goes over the grommet. Press for seal. After caulk has set is should be all-set to use. toms

SOURCE: Bunn Coffee Maker Leaks out the bottom

Hi I have had this problem twice....this time I took off the top of the maker to check it out and noticed something loose and this fixed the problem, on mine at least. Lift the lid and take out the two Phillips screws, and remove the grid. Take out the three (or four) Phillips screws on this level and remove the top of the maker. There is a tube, with a hex nut around it, under the swivel arm that shuts off the water when the lid is up. On my maker this nut was very loose, even though the seals were still good. I tightened it with a pair of pliers( don't over tighten) and it hasn't leaked since. I also cleaned the water tray out while I was at it , as it looked rather yechhy. Reassemble and put the screws back in (don't over tighten, as they are in plastic)

SOURCE: Bunn Coffee Maker Leaks out the bottom

I have an older BUNN B10 pour-o-matic that I thought was leaking from the bottom. Upon close inspection, I found that it was leaking from the worn out washers located on the top of the tank, allowing water to run down the sides of the stainless steel tank. There's a great fix offered on Fixya.com that suggests going to a hardware store and buying a Gardner Bender GHG-1575 rubber grommet with a 3/4" hole and install it into the large hole in the basin. Then place a metal washer on top of the grommet and snug it up with the threaded fitting. Many folks say it's a great fix. I went a different route. I called BUNN customer service and spoke to a very nice woman who understood my needs and sent out a free repair kit that contained a new fitting, washer, and seal. I received it in a few days and it's working great. Beats going out and buying parts for a work around repair. BTW, the repair kit is called "Universal Retail Seal Replacement Kit #37091.0000"

I cant see my BUNN BT Velocity date code on my brewer I was told it is 6 digits... it starts with what number??

To locate the date code on your BUNN BT Velocity brewer, you can try the following:
  1. Check the bottom or back of the brewer: Look for a label or sticker on the bottom or back of the machine. The date code is typically printed on this label.
  2. Inspect the sides or inside the brewer: In some cases, the date code may be located on the sides or inside the brewer. You may need to remove any panels or covers to access the label or sticker.
  3. Consult the user manual: If you have the user manual for your BUNN BT Velocity brewer, it may provide information on where to find the date code. Refer to the manual for specific instructions or contact BUNN customer support for assistance.
If you are still unable to locate the date code on your brewer, I recommend reaching out to BUNN customer support directly. They will be able to provide you with accurate information and guide you in finding the date code on your specific model of the BT Velocity brewer.

Bought our Bunn coffee maker in April. It now leaks a lot of water from bottom. We heard that you would replace it with a new one.

Bunn is very good about replacing their products. I'm attaching two links, the first one describes the BUNN warranty. The second one allows you to lookup your specific product, please scroll to the bottom of this page and insert your serial number. Hope this helps. http://www.bunn.com/sites/default/files/wysiwyg/bunn_home_product_warranty.pdf Product Warranties

Our bunn NHS Velocity was unplugged accidently. Now when we make coffee it is really luke warm and the light doesn't appear on

This is really a home style VPR brewer (but looks nicer)
if you listen to their video (link below) they mention it has a pre-heated tank of water already in the brewer. This means the brewer needs to be pre-filled with a full pot of water and pre-heated prior to using the brewer. Unplugging this unit won't be a problem UNLESS it was emptied of tank water and not refilled when powered up.
* The unit will try and heat up the tank of water but if empty then just air which overheats the unit then blows the thermal fuse. Call for service.
* The warmer is still working but it's not hot enough to brew frequently as the warmer may take up to an hour to get the tank hot enough to brew or it may not get hot at all if it's own thermal fuse blew too.
* Final; call for service to be safe.

* water leaks only while pouring? Then your pouring to fast. Wait for the water to drop before pouring in more. If it still leaks even while pouring slowly then there is a leak in the fill tray. Call for service.
* Final; call for service to be safe.

My Bunn velocity brew machine is always overflowing. What can I do? Thanks John.

This is several things it can be to cause the overflowing problem. Most the time is will be some of these.

  • Use BUNN paper filters.
  • Check to make sure the sprayhead is in place.
  • If you use decaffeinated, fine grind coffee or have soft water, you need a flow restrictor sprayhead.
Here is also a link with other trouble shooting areas to check and Phone number if needed to order parts directly from bunn.

It won't stop dripping and is leaking from the bottom. The dripping is coming from where the coffee would come out. This has been going on a couple of days. The leaking from the bottom has been going on...

The leaking from the bottom may stem from a broken or melted gasket on the interior. Some owners report success receiving the repair parts/instructions by mail. The customer service department at BUNN will assist you at no charge. Before you contact BUNN, enter your model number in the web and the word "recall" to see if any such issue applies. There were several such recalls in recent years, in which case it does not matter if your unit is under warranty or not. If applicable, BUNN will explain your repair/replacement options.

Bunn Coffee maker

your problem is caused by the pour-in tray leaking where it mounts to the tank. There should be 2 screws under the pour-in lid, and a third toward the rear of the brewer. if you take them out & lift up carefully, you can see the pour-in tray. in the bottom of the tray, there is a bolt that mounts the tray to the tank. If you remove that, you can lift the pour-in tray out. Be careful, as these trays get brittle over time, and are prone to cracking.
