When I put the adapter in the VCR, pushing in the red lever as I insert, the VCR ejects the adapter and says no cassette is in the VCR. What is the problem and how do I resolve it?

SOURCE: red lever stopping adapter from

That lever is there for a reason. The adapter needs a battery in it to run the motor to lace up the small tape before it goes into the VCR. If it goes in without the tape being laced it won't play and might cause damage.

I have a VCR Panasonic NV - FJ623 and when I insert a video cassette into it for playback or recording purposes,it always ejects the video cassette. Can you help, please?

I'ts likely that the record sensor that pushes on the tab on the tape is bent or broken. Making the VCR think you are trying to record on to a protected tape.

TAPE LOADS AT AN AGLE AND THEM IMMEDIATELY EJECTS

Look inside the flap. is the bar at an angle? If it is, try using a vhs-c adapter with no tape. take the vcr cover off. put the tape in and when it is at an angle, push down on the cassette. if that does not work, when putting the adapter in, right when its at an angle manually turn the gear or pull the lever on the side that is up. hope this helps!

Chech to see if it is aimed at the clear plastic pin near the little black plastic gear in the middle. mine was out of alignment on the left one. Works know. Good luck

VCR ejecting my cassettes

Try removing the top cover & have a look to see what happens when you put the tape in & press play/rewind etc. Is the take up spool (right hand spool) turning properly or is there slack tape not being taken into the cassette? Are the heads spinning ? I think your problem is more likely to do with the tape not travelling smoothly around the tape path. Possibly the clutch gears need cleaned or the soft brakes may not be dis-engaging properly.

Tape will not play or eject

MUSTANG,
remove the top of your vcr and watch the video as you insert it. There should be a plastic lever that opens up the tape and a metal roller that extend out and pulls the tape to the film wheel. pay close attention to the innerworkings around the edge of the cassette and eject the cassette. no closely review the areas that you noted around the edge of the tape while it was in the bay. you will notice either a spring or a clip thas has been awkardly shifted or even bent or broken. if this doesnt guide you to a solution pls reply with the make and model # of your machine

pls rank this post
thanks

Can get my cassette adapter for my ipod to work it keeps ejecting the cassette

I also have a '95 ford explorer. Same problem. I took the screws out of the tape and opened up the adapter. I took out all the gears EXCEPT for the one large one in the middle two on either side. Now it works perfectly.

Flashing auto display - won't power up

The infra red light in the middle of the mechanical deck, that powers the left and right photo sensors is not ok.It looks like a small lamp( you cant see it when it works-Infra red mind it).The video cassette has a large round opening in the bottom towords the front, and accomodates this lamp.please check it out.

My VCR is egecting the tape with the casstte adapter.

The cassette adapter uses 1 AA battery. When you place your VHSC tape into the adapter and close the cover, you will hear the motor running and the red piece on the adapter will move inside. Check the placement of the battery and make sure the clear shrink wrap has been removed from the battery
