Kyocera Mita 1635 Copier Printing Very Light Copies

I have kyocera Mita 1635 Copier which is printing Extremely light copies
even after i added new Genuine toner in the machine.

    Several reasons for Light prints, Please answer a few questions:


        Is your copier also used as a printer hooked to a computer?

        If yes, are the prints Light?

        When if the Last time the PCU (Photo Conductor Unit) was changed? I would Like the Number of copies since the last time it was changed (eg: 30,000 ago, 90,000 ago)

        When was the last time the machine was serviced? the number of copies since last service (approx)

The wire springs holding the transfer roller in place could be missing, check that first.It solved the issue for me

Is one side lighter then the other side of the copy? Meaning uneven copy darkness? If so, I believe the problem is that one or both sides of the drum cartridge and the developer are not connected correctly. The two parts need to be close togather to make a nice dark copy. This model has a very wierd drum unit and has a defect that one or both side of the drum unit locking tabs break and you get very light or blank copies. It's some what coastly to replace the whole unit... That would be a worse case.... If it is just on one side you might be able to push on the cover on the side that is light. If the copies come out better. One side is broken..I would fold up some paper and make a wedge to push the catridges closer. Good Luck

Produces Light Copies
Have you considered changing or checking the toner cartridge?
Does it display a low toner light?

I had a similar problem with a copy machine, where ALL the settings were correct and the toner was light.

The problem was the toner cartridge, the toner was caking because of the temperature. All it took was a good shake at the toner cartridge and it worked.

Also, check to see if the scan bed is messy, a good cleaning the the scanner bed should work as well.

Hi! I've got a KM 1650 it boots up then it say ready to copy after few second now printing then C400 error occur please help. kyocera KM 1650 error now printing then c4000 error comes up
c4000 polygon motor sychronize error, try to cleaning polygon, if not effective, need to replace new polygon.

Are you using an after market toner? Sometimes the non Kyocera toner causes light copies?

Bottom of the copies are darker than the top I
There may be spilled toner inside the copier, Free the drum and paper way of toner an ensure the toner container is not over full. do proper cleaning and the copier will be okay.

check the rectangular **** glas and table for any white out or particles... clean thoroughly... make copies... clean again... make copies... if same issue... then replace drum... but in most cases its the optics... which I advised you to clean thats causing the issue... if the issue occurs when you print an internal report then its definitely drum... if reports are clear... there is something on the glass... or on the part above it... even a little bit of black toner or ink or whiteout anywhere out there can cause a line

it may be the problem of moisture dont worry take brasso(used for shining the mitallic products) and put out photo conducting drum and clean the dum with brasso by using a soft cotton cloth ur problem must be solved
