Blown Fuse I forgot to change the voltage before I plugged it in. What type of fuse do I get? How do I change the fuse? Can I do it myself or should I take it to a shop? Thanks... Jo

One of my turntables target light was pulsing, so STUPID me did what I read on someones comment that the voltage should be switched to 110 V instead of 220V. DON'T EVER TRY THIS !!! after that switch all i heard when powered was a BOOM. I thought that the whole tt was dead. Fortunately only one fuse was burned so I had it replaced and the turntable is fine now.
I was so close to ruin the transformer.

The fuses for this model are located underneath the turntable platter. You can replace this yourself, however, please be sure to disconnect the unit from it's power source before proceeding. You will have to remove the metal turntable platter, exposing a black protective cover. Remove the cover, and you'll see the main PC Board. There are 2 fuses on the lower left side. Pull the fuses and take them to your local electronics store, or order online @ www.1200s.com. IF your unit does NOT have any fuses, then your transformer is damaged, and will need to be replaced by a qualified technician. Also, the fuses are only meant to circumvent small changes in electrical current. Many times, these voltage surges, will fry the fuses and the transformer. So if after you replace the fuses, it still doesn't power up, you will need to also have the transformer replaced. Good Luck!
