The suction on our hose works great but the main part of the vacuum really does not pick things up well. We have to go over and over our floors several times before it picks some of the debris up. We have tried to do some troubleshooting on our own. We read the owners manual. No clogged lines, new bag, belt in great condition, rotates without hitting agitator, etc. We cannot possibly think of what else could make the vacuum have poor pick up power. Any suggestions before we "bag" the vacuum?
Ok it sounds like the vacuum line that goes to your brush is clogged partially. need to remove soem screws and get to it from the underneath. or try blowing through the line with compressed air or blower side of a vacuum. its usaully the smal flat veins that clogg right before it goes up into the tube that you connect to.

Is there a blower side to my vaccum. Do you mean remove the screws from the base plate?
Same problem, all it does is ball up the loose carpet fibers but doesn't **** them in. I have it set for the deepest carpet pile, too.
