GED dishwasher GLDL560N10SS Start pad not working It will start then stop then starts flashing

If all the other buttons work except the start button, you have a faulty touch pad that will need to be replaced. Below is a link to a video you will want to download so you can see how to replace the touch pad.

Is it flashing ER in the front? If so you need a console touch pad .

START/RESET status indicator light flashing

You have pressed the indicator light flashing START/RESET pad while the START/RESET dishwasher is running. This will cancel the cycle. The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains (about 90 seconds).

• Press the pad once to start the dishwasher. Press the pad a second time when the dishwasher is running only if you wish to cancel the cycle.

Power to the dishwasher was turned off while a cycle was running and power has just been restored to the dishwasher. The blinking lights indicate that the dishwasher is draining the potential water inside.

• The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains. A new cycle will start automatically.

Sorry you are having trouble, I put together a quick check list and instructions on how to reset the control. Let me know if this works for you, if not I can dig a bit deeper to help.

If it is a slow blink on the start button it's something to do with your door switch. If it's a rapid continous flashing it's prob a short in your key pad. If it flashes 7 times, pauses and then repeats you have a fault with your heating element.
If it's a short with your key pad and the unit has water in it - stopped mid cycle you can cut the power to the unit at the breaker, open the door controls up and disconnect the 14 pin key pad connection. There should be a wiring diagram in the toekick cover (at the floor). This diagram will tell you how to do various tests, disconnect the key pad. If your not a handy type person call a repair man and tell him you think youhav a short in your key pad.

sounds like a stuck key pad since you said the normal wash button flashed.. the other thing is try holding the door shut while you run it.. to see of it is maybe not latching properly..

my disher washer dls 535 starts programme then lights 2 and 3 start flashing and does not work

If its the ormal led flashing that is normally caused by a stuck key ing the key pad. Might try unplugging and plugging back in but sounds like you need a new touchpad.

I am hoping I have just fixed mine with same problem. Couple weeks ago started stopping at start of cycle with fast button flashing. Check filters so one on top of unside machine and one on tap if you have one on there. Mine were blocked but still wouldnt work. I pulled out machine to find a kink in the water pipe. I have straightened this out and up to now its working. Fast button flashing refers to water inlet problem.
