Sounds like the catalytic converter or muffler maybe getting plugged up and the computer is putting the truck in limp home mode. Did you put a scanner on the truck. You might try to remove the 02 sensor ahead of the cat and see if it runs a little better it will not be perfect but should stay running if so do an exhaust check. When the cat or muffler gets plugged it puts back pressure on the engine and won't allow the fuel to be pulled into the engine properly.

Have 1997 yamaha gp1200...starts and idles fine...runs fine for first five minutes then just loses power or shuts off. Wait a couple minutes...starts back up runs great then loses power to idle or shuts...

indicates that a component in the ignition circuit is overheating internally and failing
could be a coil or cdi unit or any sensors if fitted

looks like the fuel cap may not be venting try it with the cap loose allowing air into the tank sounds like lack of fuel entering into the carburetor.

It will run good for a while on hot heat and then shuts off for abut 5 mins but it doent shut off on cold cyc

I have a huskavarna leaf blower 140 back pac i run it for 5 min then it srarves for gas let off on the throtle for 10 seconds put on full it gos to full rpms the starves agian

Carburetor may need adjusting or rebuilding. I would try mixing up some fresh fuel mixture and try that first. Use gas from the station not from the can sitting in the garage.

96 s10 2.2 4cyl. running lean . It has new fuel pump and fuel filter. I've checked the converter, new 195 degree thermostat,changed fuel regulator,changed front 02 sensor, changed coils and Diagnostic tool...

I know you said new fuel pump and filter but I would recheck the fuel pressure. Drive the vehicle with the fuel pressure gauge on it and see if the pressure drops after 10 minutes.

88 fiero starts on it own, but wont stay running.

the brain is not sending the proper fuel pressure codes to the fuel rail to evenly distribute the fuel to the intake and fuel rail.
perform a fuel pressure test check on it ok? also run a diagnostic scan on it and see what codes come out.

Me 1990 buick 3.3 start for 2 minute and shut off. Only run idle speed and push of throtle shut off. After 2 minute start and shut off right away .I am remplace coils and module / MAF sensor / throtle...

usually when vehicle shuts off when giving it gas is--is your fuiel filter plugged! gas not reaching injectors.

Rubber fuel line coming from pre-filter to lift pump can break down around fitting onto lift pump drawing too much air to keep the machine running at idle

Hi i work on these all the time, first replace all the rubber furrells on steel lines.
if no joy check the pipe to the lift pump off they come loose or block.
check the fuel line between the lift pump and the filter on the back of the tank.
they collapse.
1 of these i had was a 312 lc and could not crack it, so i changed all steel lines and lift pump which cured it. get back to me on how u get on
