My washer is spinning slow so when it stops the clothes are still drenched. This is the regular cycle, the gentle cycle no longer works, water loads but nothing happens.
It is very old, it's 15.5 y/o. I don't know if it can be repared or if it's even worth the trouble.
The clothes being wet and the drum spinning slow are probably due to a worn belt, tilt the machine back and the belt can be removed and replaced from below with no tools.
If the machine is constantly filling with water the level pressure switch requires changing. Isolate the machine, use a knife or thin bladed tool and insert between the front panel and the top panel approx 4" from each side to release the clips, the top should lift up, the pressure switch i at the back LH side, you will see a small pipe attached to it from lower down the drum, replace the pressure switch pull off the terminals and the hose and replace using the same order of connections.

Same exact problem: Admiral washer, relatively new, doesn't spin the clothes dry. Also at times continues filling without stopping, indicating water is running in and out of the machine. We learned one afternoon the machine had been filling for 6 hours straight.
