Admiral washer, spins too slow so clothes are still soaked

My washer is spinning slow so when it stops the clothes are still drenched. This is the regular cycle, the gentle cycle no longer works, water loads but nothing happens.
It is very old, it's 15.5 y/o. I don't know if it can be repared or if it's even worth the trouble.

Same exact problem: Admiral washer, relatively new, doesn't spin the clothes dry.  Also at times continues filling without stopping, indicating water is running in and out of the machine.  We learned one afternoon the machine had been filling for 6 hours straight.

The clothes being wet and the drum spinning slow are probably due to a worn belt, tilt the machine back and the belt can be removed and replaced from below with no tools.

If the machine is constantly filling with water the level pressure switch requires changing. Isolate the machine, use a knife or thin bladed tool and insert between the front panel and the top panel approx 4" from each side to release the clips, the top should lift up, the pressure switch i at the back LH side, you will see a small pipe attached to it from lower down the drum, replace the pressure switch pull off the terminals and the hose and replace using the same order of connections.

Model AA7000AWW. Why are clothes still wet?

The most likely cause for a washing machine that is able to still spin but still turns but the clothes are still very wet is a problem with the drain hose to the washer . Most of the time with this issue or whichever is causing it to not drain during the spin cycle means the water isn't draining off very quick enough and is essentially going back into the washers drum, that is re-soaking your clothing.

Our whirlpool wfs1285aw doesn't seem to be spinning and drying out clothes enough when Finished. The clothes are still drenched. Any ideas how to rectify this? Is there a filter that needs cleaning?

the rinse section spins slow while the rinsing is in process as this does 2 things
spreads the water through the clothes for a proper rinse
spins slow to equalize the cloths around the bowl
when the rinse cycle is finished and the tap is shut off it goes into a high speed spin
Your problem sounds like the program is not going to the high speed spin cycle and that would indicate a problem board
call a technician for a proper diagnosis and quote

Not spinning

Its likely you need a new motor speed control board, its the most commonly replaced board in these washers. On this model its located underneath on the right or left wall. You can't really test this but try putting the washer in to the Spin and Rinse cycle, if it doesn't spin then that is most likely your trouble.I did a quick Google search and found this page for the part:http://www.appliancepartspros.com/frigidaire-control-board-134743500-ap3891780.html

The washer won't spin dry. It fills and empties but the clothes are soaking wet.

If washer is spinning but clothes are wet suspect a partial blockage in the outlet pipe. This will cause the water to drain to slow and leave some in the outer drum while spin occurs but this ends up back in the clothes.
