My WED8300SWO works but after the 1st minute of drying it begins to spin very rapidly it has never done this before, no matter what setting I put the dryer on it does this. Is the belt loose what can I do to fix this? I am afraid if I leave it on to dry the clothes that it will heat up and cause a fire or something might break the dryer completely. Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.
Below is a link to common solutions that will help you with parts and diagnostic procedures that are specifically tuned to your manufacturers data plate information.
It provides exploded view imagery, belt routing diagrams, parts imagery and function, parts ordering and shipping information, error code details, just about anything you need to get your appliance up and running again.

You may have faulty gas valve solenoids, especially since you've already replaced the other ignition components. Below is an image, (I hope), of the solenoids which can be found and ordered from the link above. A more rare cause can be a lint filter obstruction, i.e. the screen can be coated with an invisible film from using fabric softener sheets. Try running water over the filter screen, horizontally, and if water does not strain through, then replace the filter and stop using fabric sheets.

most likely your coil set is bad. is it turns on once, but then doesn't ignite again, your coil set is overheating and not working. it will need to be replaced. Joe

Turn signal flashes really fast

Usually means one or more of the lamps isn't working or isn't working correctly (faulty ground or similar) or has been fitted with the wrong bulb.
Sometimes dirty contacts on little-used hazard switches is the cause. A couple of minutes of rapid operation usually puts matters right.

Old cars were fitted with an electro-mechanical flasher unit featuring a heating element. These would sometimes flash rapidly when nearly worn out.

Have you actually seen the drum actually speed up or does it just sound like it speeds up?
Dryers use an idler pulley to keep a constant tension on the drum belt so the drum rotates at a constant speed, so it is highly unlikely to go faster than it's supposed to.

Worn out drum rollers, loose blower wheel may make it sound like it' running faster.

First, try setting all display settings to default or 'normal' or 'standard' and disable any picture processing functions. If your TV is LED backlit then the LED dimming function may not be working correctly (dimming is done by rapidly switching the LEDs on & off).

Get some buckets

Take the drain hose off the back of the machine, undo any clips so that it lays it down flat

Put the end into a bucket and the machine will drain off.

When water has stopped running switch off the machine leave it for a few minutes and then put it into a spin cycle

Leave the hose in an empty bucket

That will dry the clothes and relaese the dorr

Maytag washer won't shift to rapid spin dry (only slow back & forth)

Hi Jim, you issue could be caused by a couple either one of a of the following,
1) Draining problem, cant empty the water from the machine within the prescribed time limit - preventing the spin programme to commence. check pump filter is clear and waste water is pumping from the end of the waste hose, the hose itself could be blocked with limescale and detergent residue.
2) Unbalanced load, most machines wont spin 1 item, its a safety thing, if a machine spins with one heavy item it puts the drum out of balance resulting in excessive drum movement possibly damaging the inside of the machine and put indue stress on the bearings. Try putting it on a spin cycle with no clothes in

Unbalanced load detection can also be caused by a faulty motor tacho, this usaually positioned at the rear of the motor, this sends an electrical signal to the programmer telling when it is 'Safe' to spin. There also the posibility that the programmer is not reading the tacho signal or misinterpriting it.
